Sofia Mexican Food — Restaurant in Osoyoos

One of our favourite places to eat when where in Oliver and Osoyoos. It used to be right next to the highway in Oliver. Now it is near the Osoyoos Tourist Info Center in a more central location.

It has several outdoor tables each having sun protection and being large enough to fix 4-6 people each. There are pretty hanging baskets with the flowers adding even more colour to the surroundings.

They have tacos, quesadillas, tostados and chimichangas with veggie, beef, chicken, pork, shrimp and fish options. So lots of choices.

We ate lunch here twice and both times I chose the Shrimp Tacos as they were just so amazing!!! The shrimp were tender, perfectly seasoned and there were lots in each delicious taco!

My wife had the Pork Tacos first then she had the Shrimp Tacos because I was raving so much about them. She enjoyed the Pork Tacos but she loved the Shrimp Tacos as well!

Came here because of the ratings and wasn't disappointed. Food was fresh, delicious and filling. Delicious. Highly recommended. After reading some reviews on here I can tell they were written by people who've never been here. ie: turned away because he was in work clothes.... It's basically a food truck not a sit down restaurant. Anyways.... Highly recommended. Btw... Yes it takes a while to get your food. I guess it's because it's only 1 or 2 people working on it and like I said, the food is fresh and alot of different parts to put together so basically each order gets worked on start to finish before they start the next order....

We stopped to have a bite on our road trip — nachos, veggie quesadilla, and fish tacos. The fish tacos were delicious — the best I’ve ever had. The veggie quesadilla was also good, but the nachos weren’t exciting. The salsa that came with them was nothing special, but the guacamole and sour cream were good. They gave enough that the salsas outlasted the chips, which doesn’t usually happen!

There wasn’t enough seating in the nice gazebos, so we ended up eating at a picnic table, and flies bothered us the whole time.

My suggestion: order some fish tacos...
