8:08pm:We ran into the restaurant as my fiancée was experiencing gastric distress(she was going to evacuate in her pants). Attempted to speak to an employee who was serving coffee to another customer in order to obtain the bathroom code. Both me and my teenage son asked and were completely ignored. He had no hair net, no beard net, and no name tag; He had glasses and a pronounced mustache. Finally the third request was responded to with "only for customers". I tried to explain that we were going to order after the gastric emergency had been taken care of. I spoke to Shishtok, the team lead. He held insistent that we were in the wrong and he could refuse the bathroom or service to anyone. I told him I have 10+ years experience in customer service and the food industry and was simply hoping they'd have a heart. He told me they did and that's why we were allowed in. After about 5 minutes, after my fiancée had been let into the washroom, they asked if we were going to order anything. I let them know that after my partner returned from the bathroom we would decide what we'd be ordering together. My partner came out of the washroom and understandably no longer wanted to order after such an ordeal. When we began to leave Shishtok began physically chasing us saying "sir sir" I told him too late they had lost a customer. He yelled after me, my son and my partner "this is why we don't let people in without paying" I told him we were going to before we had been treated so disrespectfully. He continued to yell/repeat himself and I turned around to ask what his name tag said. He ripped off his name tag saying that I had no need to read it. At which point I told him that I already knew his name and that he should enjoy the rest of...

Can a fast-food establishment truly shine among the myriad of dining options out there? Can it genuinely earn a prestigious 5-star rating? The answers become evident when you step into this specific A&W branch.
While attending a convention in town, I stumbled upon this little gem. What started as a mere convenience quickly turned into a ritual. Every morning, without fail, I was drawn to their doors, and each visit solidified my growing respect for their consistent performance.
Nestled near a metro station, this venue stands out not just for its prime location but also its welcoming ambiance. The environment is inviting, with the space being illuminated by a pleasant brightness. Cleanliness, often a sticking point for many establishments of this nature, is upheld to the highest standard here. The thought that's gone into ensuring wheelchair accessibility adds another feather to their cap.
The true stars of this establishment, however, are its staff. Their courtesy and promptness are commendable. In the world of fast food, where the pace can often lead to errors, their consistency in delivering the perfect All-Canadian breakfast, accompanied by a rich coffee, is truly impressive.
Each plate was a reflection of the brand's promise, delivered quickly, and prepared with attention to my specific requests. Given the reasonable pricing, one might say the value I received far exceeded the cost.
It's evident that the franchisee has poured heart and soul into this place. This A&W isn't just a fast-food outlet; it's a beacon, setting a benchmark for the...
Read moreEdited 2025 - The teen burger and the mozza burger are very solid burgers. The store is sometimes not on top of things. Today ketchup dispenser is out and the coke zero syrup is out and dispensing just soda water.
Last year my first time here, I wanted the diet root beer but found they were out of syrup so I only got soda water.. they refunded that since not in mood for coke zero today.
I have been switching some of my quick service away from McDonald's recently due to 2 locations I frequented stop offering free internet.
A&W is becoming a new favorite, especially for fries, which i used to think McDs were the best. The poutine was only okay since the fries and gravy are not hot enough to melt the cheese curds but flavour is there.
I had fries with gravy next time and this time with the Chipotle mayo which were tasty. Really like the metal basket the fries came in and the actual glass for the drinks.
Mama burger is a solid burger just wish they do not charge $0.25 for slices of tomatoes and leafs of lettuce. Harvey's will give me all the toppings I want so Angus burger there is now my go to burger but A&W for fries and occasionally a reasonable...
