It was great, but when I asked the question to the girl at the cash today at noon, what was braised meat, she laughed, I clarified saying I wasn’t joking and her reply was “Beef? Cow?” As implying I’m dumb asking what beef is, when in turn I was genuinely asking what it was or how it’s prepared (since there are tons of way on how to prepare meat). She then went on to explain what it really was afterwards, but I found that comment extremely rude. Read moreI recently visited Mercadito in Ottawa with my family, and I have to say it was an outstanding experience. We ordered their burritos and nachos, and the flavors were absolutely fantastic. The burritos were packed with mouthwatering ingredients, and the nachos were the perfect combination of crispy and cheesy. It was a real treat for our taste buds.
What made our visit even more enjoyable was the cozy and welcoming atmosphere at Mercadito. It felt like we were transported to Mexico, with the friendly staff and colorful decor. Dining there with my family was such a memorable and heartwarming experience.

Service was a bit on the slow side, I couldn't tell if they were short staffed or what, but the line to order was backed up and not moving particularly fast, and the food was taking some time to come out, not an unreasonable amount of time, but I also seemed to get in just before the rush.
