Note: ordered with toogood2go. So things might be even better in store then this quality. The small marks is from me removing them from the box.
So there is a pineapple rum cake, a custard pie of sorts, a chocolate cake, and a chocolate éclair.
The crust of the custard pie was soft and flakey, while the inside was fully cooked, sweet but not overly so
The chocolate eclair was our favourite, filled with a nice chocolate filling, all the way to the edges, nice thin pastry and a chocolate topping crust
The chocolate cake had a decent crust and the filling was made with real cocoa, you could taste again sweet but not overly. Although it was our least favourite of the bunch
The pineapple rum cake was delicious but only if you like the taste of rum. To say it was juicy was a understatement. Honestly if I ever get it again I would freeze it then eat it, cause then it would be a bit more held together.
I looked at the prices of everything else they normally sell and they are all very reasonable prices on everything. Would for sure visit again to get a different...
Read moreWe stopped by Amandine Pâtisserie on a Saturday morning in search of the perfect French croissant for an outdoor breakfast, and it didn’t disappoint. The croissants were excellent: one filled with classic ham and cheese, the other with tomato and cheese. Both were served warm, showcasing a fresh, buttery taste that was unmistakably from the oven that morning.
A lovely touch was the coffee, which arrived with a small madeleine on the side, a detail that immediately elevated the experience.
The true surprise, however, was in the pastries. We hadn’t planned to indulge, but couldn’t resist after seeing the selection. The Mango Passionfruit Mousse cake was bright and refreshing, the Strawberry Matcha tart balanced sweetness with earthy notes, and the Éclair was pure decadence. Each one was crafted with precision and was as beautiful as it was delicious.
Amandine Pâtisserie turned what we expected to be a simple croissant stop into a delightful culinary experience. Highly recommended for both breakfast and dessert...
Read moreAmandine Patisserie is dangerously delicious! and dangerously close to my office. If not the best, it’s definitely one of Ottawa’s top spots for croissants. The almond croissant? Oh my goodness — so good it should come with a warning label. “The baked goods here are insanely good!” I try to walk off my lunch, but passing by Amandine turns every calorie-burning stroll into a pastry detour. The matcha latte with oat milk is my go-to pairing — pure bliss! My family loves every treat from here, and even my teen daughter brings her friends to hang out and croissant-binge. And the staff? so kind and friendly. I highly recommend Amandine to anyone who loves flaky, buttery joy. Diet? What diet? All the best to Amandine pâtisserie I’ll keep...
