Blueprint Home — Local services in Ottawa

I had a pretty disappointing experience with Blueprint Home. I saw a photo that they posted on their Instagram and immediately went to look for the beautiful side table in the photo on their website. When I couldn't find it, I messaged them on Instagram to ask if they had the table in the photo in store. I didn't hear back for several days so I called the store. The employee who answered said that the owner manages their social media and that this person isn't the most tech savvy. If you're going to use social media to advertise your business, use it properly! But I digress. The employee who I was speaking to over the phone suggested that I email her the picture so that she could tell me if they had it in store. I did so and again never heard back! This was a $600 side table that I was fully intending on purchasing for a client ON THE SPOT! Rather than give them my business, and my clients' business, I scoured the internet until I found somewhere else that sold the table and ordered it from there. This would have been an easy sale for the Blueprint team and unfortunately they lost it, as well as any other future...

We went into Blueprint Home to see what furniture offerings they had available since we just moved into a new house and needed to furnish it. We loved that it's a local store and we try to support local in our purchases whenever possible.

The team at Blueprint Home was absolutely great! Karrie and Kim were very knowledgeable and helpful when we explained to them what we were looking for. We could tell that they are passionate about what they do and actually care about providing excellent service to their clients. We ended up buying a Lind leather couch and love seat for a good deal. We ordered them in July and we were expecting to receive them at the end of November, but the shipment arrived early November instead. It was a pleasant surprise! The white glove delivery experience was amazing and we're very content with our overall experience with Blueprint Home. This is my favourite Ottawa store. I try to buy Canadian, whenever possible, especially with furniture & pillows. Blueprint sells beautiful modern furniture & you can feel the quality, as soon as you sit down on one of their sofas or chairs. I love their big feather & down sofa pillows, which are hand made in Canada. They're gorgeous!!! The first 2 pillows I bought were so amazing, that I went back & asked if I could just buy new pillow casings, to change the look of my room at less cost. I now have 3 different pillow designs. The staff were really nice & very helpful. They will even assist you with floor plans. Because I like Blueprint's neighbourhood (Wellington West), I grab a coffee from Bridgehead & pop into Blueprint every week or so, just to see the constant design changes in the store.
