I totally agree with Jessi Sharp and others. We’ve gotten egg rolls here for quite sometime. But the recent purchase of (2) dozen frozen open end egg rolls were a DISAPPOINTMENT. Was wondering why the box was sagging, it wasn’t as packed as it used to. Then I found out the egg rolls have shrunk, not filled like it used to, and they’ve increased the price. It’s ok to increase the price but maintain the original recipe and size of it. This will just discourage clients to come back. I wouldn’t mind paying more for a decent and satisfying egg rolls. Now I could say… I will stick to Asia Wok (they also sell half cooked so you can freeze it if need to pack for a trip) from now on and the Golden Palace if I’ll be around Carling ave.

Everyone suggested Charlie Chans egg rolls. Highly unimpressed at our entire order. The general Tso was not spicy. The garlic spare ribs were bland. Actually everything we ordered kinda tasted the same. Like it was all freezer burnt & kept in the same containers. I couldn’t finish my food at all. The egg rolls were “open ended” but not filled to the end, kinda half open half closed, and these come NO WHERE close to the flavours of Ruby Inn or Golden Palace. The only thing that got two stars here was the chicken balls. They were ok, but not worth another order from this place. Hopefully our move to Orléans will bring us better egg rolls elsewhere.

I really like their Szechuan beef, it's packed with spice and various fresh veggies. It's slightly salty so you would have to eat it with rice or something on the side. Garden shrimp is good too. Hubby really likes their egg roll and butterfly shrimp. Their butterfly shrimp has a slice of bacon wrapped together in the egg batter.

I ordered 2 egg rolls & a combo meal. The location is good, parking is available and it's only a takeout place.

My egg rolls weren't as crispy as I would have liked for them to be and I didn't feel they were that flavorful. My combo was supposed to have General Tao chicken+fried rice and chicken balls. The chicken balls were perfect. The chicken...it was light instead of the darker colour that general Tao usually would be. I don't know if it was some other type of chicken but I didn't love grilled chicken with sweet sauce on it. It wasn't crispy ...it wasn't general Tao 🤷 I probably could have enjoyed that if I had some chilli oil or hot sauce which this establishment claimed they did not have any 🤷 Every single Chinese resto has hot chilli oil or sauce or Sriracha but when I asked for it she said they have powder and that's it.

I'm disappointed but it was not bad. It just wasn't...

Since i can't leave a review on DoorDash then I'll leave a review on here. It was given that Charlie Chan is to close for ordering at 8:30PM. I ordered at around 7:55PM and got notified by DoorDash at around 8:12PM telling me that the order was cancelled. I refreshed their page at around 8:13PM and already, they've declared closed for ordering early.

This is the first time i have tried to order food from you guys and it will be the last. If it is missing items, or cooks wanting to leave early, or cooks just straight up wanting to be lazy, or whatever it may be, your job is to provide customer service from a business that specializes in takeout. If a business can not provide that then might as well close it down! I can not believe the huge amount of abysmal business that have opened...
