It's a nice new clean restaurant in Orleans . They have bamboo decor and paper lanterns around the restaurant to make it a more friendly and open environment . The two items I ordered where the No 1 rice paper wrap rolls with shrimp . This was a bad choice as it came with barley any shrimp in it and was just all vermicelli. The roasted peanut garlic dip hardly had any peanut taste at all . It's quite pathetic . The main soup I had order was Ramen Tonkotsu which is a pork belly with egg and mushrooms. The soup came out warm with two tiny pieces of pork belly slices and little to no mushrooms. I was disappointed by the salty taste of the broth. I hope they can improve on the quality of there food for my next visit. Also there lunch special was a little $$$ for the what was listed on the menu . Total cost for was just over $20.

This place was so bad I had to call OTTAWA PUBLIC HEALTH (call 311 if anyone is wondering how) The meats was old and oxidized. It’s unbelievable that they said that this is NORMAL?! THIS IS NOT NORMAL!!! Just look at the pictures - The basil was wilted and had dark spots which indicates it’s going bad, same things with the beans sprout, old and soggy. The hoisin sauce tasted like there was alcohol. The peanut sauce literally tasted like peanut butter and water - oh and we got charged 1$ to have sriracha on the side. My mistake was to alert the owner that I was calling OPH, the inspector went to visit the next day and said that it was clean. But honestly, look at the picture for yourself - is this what you call fresh? And want to eat? Shame on this place for ruining simple ingredients and serving old and rotted food!

Their Ramen is actually TO DIE FOR... like it's the most unexpected gem.. I've tried their tonkotsu ramen as well as the spicy tan tan ramen and both are top notch!!! Like as good as or even better than the more specialized ramen houses like sansotei.. their wonton soup is also off the wall good.. their chicken pho is a little disappointing but there are tons of other reasons to visit this place.. their spring rolls are a tad pricey at 5.25 for 2 but they are delicious and then again, they're huge.. the service is impeccable and I'm truly a big fan of their place now..

Great food, but horrible service. On two consecutive occasions, my wife and I went to Saigon Pho for our date night. We ordered a simple order of spring rolls and a Pho Ga for each of us. The server took our order and forgot about us. We watched three more couples come in, finish their appetizers and partially finish their main courses before we even got our spring rolls! The server never once came to check on us and ignored us even when they brought food to the tables beside us both who came in after us. One couple even finished their meal and left in the time it took us to get our appetizer. Tonight we decided to go back and give them another chance to redeem themselves and the same thing happened. We ordered simple soups and watched other people come in after us and get their appetizers and main courses while we sat patiently nursing our soft drinks for 45 minutes. My wife went to the front counter to ask what was taking so long and the girl said that they "lost" our order but yet she was able to tell us what we ordered because it was on the computer screen. Just as my wife came back to the table, the server brought out a rice dish with beef and broccoli and a pho ga to the table beside us (who came in 15 minutes after we did). We then went to the counter explained the situation, paid for our drinks and left. They didn't even make the effort to compensate us for the inconvenience. We wasted yet another date night waiting 45 plus minutes for food that should have taken 15 minutes on average to come out. We have given up on Saigon Pho and will find another Vietnamese restaurant to give our...

Great Food at Saigon Pho

I recently dined at Saigon Pho and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The pho was flavorful, the ingredients were fresh, and the dishes really captured the essence of authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The menu offers a variety of options, and everything I tried was delicious.

However, the service left something to be desired. It seems the owners are juggling both cooking and serving duties, which sometimes leads to delays and a bit of chaos. Despite this, their hard work and dedication to delivering good food are evident.

The atmosphere at Saigon Pho is quite basic, but when you’re enjoying a meal with good company, it’s easy to overlook. The focus here is clearly on the food, and that’s where Saigon Pho truly shines.

Overall, if you’re in the mood for great Vietnamese food in Orleans and don’t mind a more laid-back service experience, Saigon Pho is definitely...
