La Ha Tacos — Restaurant in Ottawa

I'll try and balance this so people can make their own decision whether to eat here. First off, the food really is delicious. We'd eaten here once before and it was very tasty.

However. That's if you can get it. Tonight, we ordered at 5:13pm and by 6:45, we still didn't have our food and it would have been another 30 mins or so (there were still 4 ahead of us). 2 hours is unacceptable so we had to leave. Ironically, we went somewhere else and ran into an online delivery driver who was also waiting but decided to leave after an hour!

Really, a food truck should not be accepting online orders + the various app-based delivery services. There's no way they will be able to keep up with the demand given the size of the cooking area. It's fine to apologise but fix it - stop accepting online and app-based orders and know your capacity.

Alas, we won't be returning. Waiting 2 hours is ridiculous for any meal (esp when it's for children). Too bad as the food is good IF...

A fantastic gem hidden in Orleans. La Ha Tacos is located near the parking area beside the carwash on Youville.

They offer made-to-order tacos with the freshest ingredients. You'll get 3 tacos plus chips and salsa for a fair price. Depending on the filling it'll cost you between $9-12 and so worth it. The chips come out first which are hot out of the fryer then the tacos. I've ordered the steak, chicken and fish tacos which all turned out delicious. Their watermelon beverage is equally refreshing.

If you're looking for a quick bite, you may want to consider calling ahead or looking elsewhere for lunch, but you'll miss out on a solid meal. They have 3 large picnic style tables with tents, so you'll have a place to sit and eat. Lunch tends to be quite busy, so the earlier you show up the better.

All in all, highly recommend this taco truck to anyone who is curious and I look forward to eating...

To start the staff here are absolutely amazing. Very friendly bunch and very very helpful.

The ordering experience was great, the employee walked us through the toppings and helped in that sense.

Food took a bit long to prepare. Not a huge deal however we were in a bit of a rush so it meant something to us this time. I understand why it takes long as they do not have pre-made food. It is all FRESH and cooked to order.

The food itself was just okay. I ordered the pork tacos and found the meat to be quite dry. I also found it difficult to build my own taco without having to remove my food from the box. I recommend putting the tortilla under the nachos.

My old lady ordered the vegi taco and found it really delicious.

The nachos were absolutely delicious. I'd go back simply for those.

All in all I will go back and try something different next time. The chicken...
