We recently dined at Detola's Kitchen and we cant stop raving about our experience! The place is simply stunning - from the elegantly decorated interior (Lagos vibes) to the nice music playing in the background invoked a feeling of calmness and relaxation. The service provided by the staff was impeccable. From the warm greeting upon arrival to constant check-ins during our meals to ensure we had everything we needed, the staff went above and beyond to make sure our experience was nothing but the best. Now let's talk about the food - it was absolutely amazing! The warm puff puff was a delicious appetizer that melted in our mouths. I highly recommend trying the Abula and beef stew, which was bursting with flavor and had just the right amount of spice to leave a satisfying, yet subtle heat. The pounded yam and okro soup was equally as delicious, with the perfect amount of texture and flavor. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a beautiful ambiance, exceptional service, and incredible food. It's definitely a must-visit spot!

First time trying Nigerian food and it was really good! Jollof rice and the meats were seasoned perfectly and the spice kick was just right. My favourite though was the plantains which were sweet and not greasy. The egusi and fufu combo were yum too. Overall - friendly staff, clean and spacious restaurant and reasonably priced. The only downside is it took around one hr and 10 mins for our food to be prepared and served. The homemade quality and taste of the food made up for it, but still quite a long wait time. Great experience otherwise. Will be coming back!

The portions were huge and the food was delicious. Had the whiting with jollof rice and plantain, my friend had a meat pie and goat. We both walked out of there totally stuffed and with doggy bags in hand. I also tried a fermented millet drink - kunu zaki- which was like nothing I had ever tried before- and bought another to bring home, it was so good. The puff puffs are reminiscent of a superior home made old fashioned Timbits.

Before buying anything from a place I am unfamiliar with, I always go through reviews to help guide my decision. Ordered a few light items as I always do with new places, loved the scotch eggs, disappointed with the other two items. With sauces like ayamashe, I prefer the meat to have been cooked with it and not grilled meat added when portioning. Also, I find it much better when the meat is in smaller pieces for sauces like ayamashe and bukka stew, rather than 3/4 big pieces of grilled meat thrown in when portioning. Smaller cuts cooked in the sauce means every scoop taken, there is an assortment of meat with the flavour of the sauce in it. The gizdodo was more like yam porridge and was actually confused initially, thinking I had been given wrong order. Loved that you could order up to 3pm deadline and get your order delivered...

Food is ok. But if you are not Nigerian they treat you like garbage my food was ready for 10 min and I am looking at it, I tell her can I get my food she brushes me off because she’s having a convo and laughing with fellow Nigerian customers. Buisness wise is so bad one time she’s in working and 4 other times she’s not available and can’t make the food they are very unorganized. I don’t recommend I feel like I am not welcomed same thing with my freinds they always tell me they feel “unwelcomed and it’s like we’re bothering the workers “ Check else where this is not the spot you’d enjoy.

FOOD IS OK. BUT THE SERVICE...
