Equator Coffee Barrhaven — Restaurant in Ottawa

Service is great and everyone is so friendly. The environment is cute and clean. The turtle oat bar is chefs kiss. When I was pregnant, I thought it was just a pregnancy craving for these turtle oat bars but I get them now and they still slap. My go-to order is an iced oat latte and a turtle oat bar, consistent and delicious every time. Also love to go to Equator Barrhaven because literally every one that works there is so nice. Even when they’re busy pressing espressos, someone always says hi and asks if you’ve been tended to. Some other coffee shops I’ve been to don’t even bat an eye if you’re waiting to ask a question. I’ve bought grounds from the shop and love that it’s organic but it’s so much better when the coffee is made for me lol. First time getting something at equator coffee I picked up a peach blossom lemonade drink, which said it was six dollars on the sign but with my $.50 tip it came up to 7.84, Also, the drink had absolutely no sweetness, one slice of lemon that tasted very bitter, and the description was deceiving as it said it had lemonade in it. It was basically just steep peach tea with a piece of lemon water and ice. For the price, this was not worth it, especially that they have cold foam drinks, not that much more expensive. There was no lemonade in my drink thus making the drink taste less bitter and having no sweetness. I kind of regret not just picking up a bottle drink in the fridge...

Very beautifully decorated. Has a very good vibe and the staff all seemed happy and were very friendly/polite to me. The space itself is very small, unfortunately not something they can control, but be aware it seems difficult to find a seat. I was unable to seat down as I originally planned as even in the late afternoon all the chairs were full. The food I tried was very good, the mocha I had was OK. It had a slightly bitter flavour I did not enjoy (maybe I am not personally a fan of the syrup?). But as it's a new location there may be some adjustment period for staff to learn to make drinks and I'd be happy to visit again to...
