Sunday, May 19, 2024. I just left Farmboy at the Trainyards location and I was so upset with the cashier Elyza and the incompetence of the management team. I'll start with Elyza, I don't know how she managed to scan herb chives for $2.99 when I didn't even purchase such an item. I always check my receipt before leaving the stores and this time was no different. I noticed her error and I asked a different cashier for the customer service station so that I can get the issue resolved. That cashier said that I needed to go to cash #6. I got there and noticed a line of customers waiting to pay for their goods. This is not a customer service station designated for customer service, it is nothing more than a cashier lane.
The second issue is with management. While I was waiting my turn to pay for my items, Eliza was calling for a price check for an item for the customer ahead of me, she explained to him that this item was newer and they probably didn't have it priced yet. I had to give my 2 cents and I told her that there is no excuse for not having an item priced out once it hits the shelves. It's a simple electronic process. Once the price check person arrived, he brought an identical item and told Elyza to try scanning that item and should she still have issues, the price will be $6.99. He also said that these items are scanning a different skew. I blame management for not ensuring that a new product scans correctly prior to making them available for purchase. To make matters worse, Elyza had to call a supervisor to override a code because she wasn't able to put in the $6.99. You can imagine how much time was wasted while these issues were being resolved. My time is valuable.
Farmboy needs to have a true designated area for customer service.
I'm looking for a new place to buy my goods and I stopped shopping at Loblaws and decided to try Farmboy. I guess that I should continue to look around because Farmboy frustrated me...
Read moreUsually, when I go to this Farmboy I have such a wonderful experience, the staff is always friendly and there is alway so much variety. Unfortunately, I went to this Farmboy today, for the first time in a few months, I had such a negative encounter with one of the employees. The Cashier in training Robbyne, was so rude and passive aggressive and just threw my items aside, causing my food to spill. When I first went to her to cash out, she hardly recognized me and didn't even respond to me when I said hello and asked how her day was. Instead, she just asked me if I would like any bags. I noticed she seemed to be a bit irritated with the customer in front of me as the customer seemed to having difficulties tapping her card. However, whatever issues she was having with the previous customer should not be reflected on to the next one, in this case me. When Robbyne was bagging up my items, she was very sarcastic with me after I asked if she could put the items in a separate bag and said, "which item would you like on the bottom". After I stated that it doesn't matter to me, she proceed to just throw the items into the bag and just tossed the bag on the counter, once again causing my food to spill. This is super unprofessional. Whoever was training her should be carefully watching her and possibly train her more with customer service department. I drove 20 minutes to specifically go to his Farmboy because of how much I love the welcoming environment and their endless options. Sadly, I do not think I will coming back to this Farmboy anytime soon, especially since there is one closer...
Read moreI’m writing to share my recent experience at the deli counter on March 27 between 5 and 5:30. Unfortunately, the service I received was disappointing and far below the usual standard I’ve come to encounter in the last 10 years. When I placed my order, I requested 200 grams of meat, but the staff member gave me 100 grams instead. When I politely pointed out the discrepancy and explained that I had asked for 200 grams, she responded by saying, “No, you asked for 100.”
I understand that mistakes happen, but the way the situation was handled felt dismissive. Rather than clarifying or offering to correct the order, I was told I was wrong. This interaction left me feeling frustrated, as I simply wanted the correct amount I had originally requested. Customer service is not her thing. And I will not go back
I’m sharing this feedback because I usually have positive experiences at your store and hope this can be addressed to ensure smoother communication in the future.
I wanted to take a moment to recognize the excellent service I received from one of your cashiers during my visit right after that awful one. First cahier before leaving check ou. He was very kind, polite, and made the checkout process pleasant. His friendly attitude stood out, and I truly appreciated his warm and professional approach.
Thank you for your time—I appreciate your attention...
