Fat Bastard Burrito Co. — Restaurant in Ottawa

Been here probably 20 times over the passed year never had any issue. It is a lesser known spot/newer spot. So overall they usually only have 1 or 2 people working with that said they rarely have more than 1 or 2 people in line. However for some very unusual reason the quesadillas I got for my wife were cold from the time it took me to go from the restaurant to home which is 2 minutes I live in Deerfield village. I was actually going to give 5 stars across the board but because of this Ill have to drop it to 4. The employee 100% did not have the griddle set to the right setting, which means they've probably been serving underdone burritors all night. Not sure if they turn down the temperature after a certain time since it's less busy but it was way too low. I had a bite and it was like it was never warmed and upon observation there was very little colour on the tortilla compared to a typically grilled quesadilla.

I want to clarify the employee was actually very nice, polite and professional but must of made an oversight or perhaps there was a issue with the grill or temperature...

I don’t know how this place has some bad reviews because all i can say is WOW…. i was always so hesitant to try this place since nobody that i personally know has ever raved about it. safe to say i’ve been missing out for the longest time !!! this 100% beats “mucho burrito” and tastes WAY fresher !!!!!! i will start coming here instead of going there. it was actually well made perfectly & stayed crispy even when i got home. whereas my burritos elsewhere always always end up soggy as hell within minutes and start tearing apart. i think thats what i appreciated most- that it was well made. I got the fish burrito and it was fried fresh for me on the spot. zero fishy smell. amazing fresh ingredients and kitchen looked clean even from a mile away. the chips were even fried fresh for me and tasted amazing. some taco spots give u stale tortila chips that taste like old oil… this was probably the best burrito i had in a long long time. staff was also super friendly also! i hope this wasnt just goodluck & that every experience at this location goes this well😅😊 - a happy 8 months pregnant...
