Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Ottawa

On September 23,2024 my kids wanted to try the popcorn shrimp at this location on Blossom Park-Plaza, 2950 since they get it all the time. The girl service on the window was good. When the food was given to us at the window I start driving off and ask my son to make sure everything we order was in the bag OMG the way the food was placed in the bag it was like for an animal. The box of popcorn shrimp had like 5 Pieces in it the fires all over the bag not even in the little paper bag that they give you the spicy sandwich was messy falling apart in the bag. After seeing that, I returned back and went inside the store. The girl that served me at the window came to see me and asked what was wrong. I showed her the portion of the food and I said that’s on acceptable. I would like a refund I was advised that I cannot get a refund because they didn’t have a manager and they didn’t know how to do it, that’s very unacceptable. Unprofessional that you have all these employees and they do not know how to do a refund because they need a manager authorization. If I was unhappy with my order, I’m entitled to request a refund and a refund should be given to me, I came inside I showed them what the food look like. I was very unhappy lost my appetite and you’re telling me that I cannot get a refund because you cannot do a refund And I need to wait till the next day to come back and see a manager so a manager can process a refund that is mind blowing. I’ve never heard of that. I asked for a manager name they gave me Karen as I was stepping out of the store I was calling the number and they kept on picking up the phone and hanging up on me so continued calling and same thing after a while now it was saying busy from 9:20 to 11:45pm and at 1am now it just keeps on ringing no answer or not even a voicemail to leave a message. The most disturbing Popeyes branch I’ve ever been at.

I made a family meal order at 4:19, was told 15 minutes for it to get ready. That’s fine, I asked for white meat(breast pieces) and which they charged me extra and that’s fine too. 40 minutes later I got the order but it didn’t it was wrong, i was told to wait another 15 minutes after I had waited over 40 minutes, so I called them out, saying you keep saying fifteen minutes but take longer and still mess up the order.

The employees started having an attitude including the manager which essentially gestured to the employees to deny serving us and stated we are there for trouble, meanwhile I’m seeing the employees put back our food that we handled back on the heating rack like to serve other customers. wth 🤦‍♂️ I immediately told her(the manager) to have some standards.

Fast forward another 30 minutes and our order finally came in which some prices of the chicken not fully cooked but we ate what was edible and called it a day.

Happily never coming back to this branch for the following reasons • Staff attitude and demeanour • hygiene and cleanliness (both with handling food and atmosphere cleanliness) • excessive wait time and inconsistencies ( not once did I get a correct order in my 7 visits to this branch)

Went to this location for a quick dinner meal. Little did we expect to be there for over a half hour waiting to receive our food. We ordered two 3 piece tender combos. After twenty minutes we were told they didn't have the chicken we had ordered and only had the spicy left and asked if we wanted to wait another fifteen minutes for them to make a batch. Not sure why it took twenty minutes for them to find out they didn't have what we ordered. After saying that the spicy would be ok it took five minutes for them to get that chicken in and another ten minutes to get the mashed potato side .. and then another five for the server to put a fork in the bag. We finally left the store with what we thought was our food only to discover that we were given regular chicken instead of tenders we had ordered. This is the second time we've tried this location, Popeye's used to be good but it has definitely gone down in quality. How is it that a restaurant with six staff never have food ready and are so slow. The staff often disappear from the front counter only to appear a few minutes later seemingly confused about what they were doing. We should have known better about giving this place another try as the first time we ended up leaving because we hadn't even been served after fifteen minutes and there was already a long lineup of dissatisfied customers waiting for their own orders.
