Our experiences with Five Guys portrayed a dishonest organization with even less concern for safe food practices and patrons wellbeing.
We purchased a three burger meal at a cost of just over $50.00 – upon biting into the burgers at home we found all three burgers were red raw inside.
We promptly disposed of the burgers not wishing to risk E Coli food poisoning and followed the process of contacting Five Guys via their website.
The next day we were contacted by Kent Baker who expressed sympathy and concern. Kent promised to look into why the burgers had not been cooked and also offered to send us a gift card to cover the cost of the meal, however we were to learn that sincerity was disingenuous.
We never did hear from Kent on his investigation into how or why we received raw burgers and tend to think the matter was quickly brushed under the carpet.
Six weeks went by and no gift card – another email to five guys and we had to give all our information once again. Another wait of six weeks and we then received a $10 token gift card in the post.
We contacted Kent Baker and five guys on multiple occasions to ask for an explanation as to why we had not received the gift card in the amount promised, each email and attempted contact by phone was met with silence or purposely ignored.
While we understand that mistakes can happen, a company that does not respond and show concern to food safety and is disingenuous with promises of compensation is not a company that we care to patronize – We will never set foot in a Five Guys restaurant in any country, it is just not...
Read moreBe careful ordering from this location they have horrible service. For the second time in a row my boyfriend and I order from them through Uber Eats. The first time we ordered they forgot the Cajun Fries as a side with our burgers. We put a complaint in to Uber and we’re refunded for the fries. We just placed another order but this time we made a point of adding a note to please remember the fries. Of course our order came and they once again forgot the fries.I called the Barrhaven location to let them know they once again forget part of the order. The young woman that answered the phone was very rude and unhelpful, she told me I could “just come get them” .The most appalling part of this entire experience was having to listen to rap music dropping the N word and cursing and swearing in my ear while she went to get the manager. When the manger picked up the phone I told her how offensive It was to have to listen to this type of music over the phone. She told me that she “can’t do anything about it “ …. I called the regional manager, hopefully he can clean up the mess at this location. Seriously will never eat at Five Guys again, incredibly...
Read moreThe food is great and we eat there in person usually. But when we order from Skip the Dishes it seems they’re in too much of a rush to pay attention. Twice in a row we’ve gotten our order wrong because they didn’t read. If my husband didn’t have an allergy this wouldn’t be a big deal but as I write this he’s gone out to find something else to eat because he can’t eat what we received. When we call them they tell us to call Skip the Dishes for a refund... I never asked for a refund, I told them to make his order properly and he’ll come pick it up, just don’t charge us. But all she kept repeating was “Call Skip the Dishes for a refund!” I don’t want a refund, woman, I want the food I asked and paid for. They tried to put it on the courrier’s back but he didn’t make the...
