Walked into the store.. Bank near Heron in Ottawa..SATURDAY DEC. 20th....9:00 pm....asked if they had been busy..was told very quiet ..holidays..asked cashier how long the chicken had been sitting in the warmer..was told 15 to 20 minutes or more...asked for the manager on duty..explained i did not want any of that chicken and would wait for fresh chicken..no problem..5 minutes later its ready?????????? hummm... i said no way it takes 20 minutes to get fresh chicken ( past experience)...cook comes out and says its fresh .. "took it out 5 minutes ago"...???? oh so you had tons of chicken sitting in the warmer for over 20 minutes and wammo ..you make a whole new batch, because you knew i was coming in looking for freshly cooked chicken...he insisted it was fresh 5 minutes..hummm..ok told him i would raise hell if its garbage..no problem he says...Took it home opened it up took out a piece ..DRIPPING WITH COLD OIL..sat it on a napkin and watched the oil soak up into a second a third and finally a fourth..COLD OILY GARBAGE....THANKS KFC...GOING TO STAY AWAY FROM THAT PLACE ..WASTED 65 BUCKS..never...

The customer service was just as horrible as the food. The chicken looked like someone had eaten the skin and put it back. There was a pool of black grease at the bottom of the container. We returned and showed the staff, and the person who later identified himself as the shift supervisor claimed the chicken "wasn’t packed properly." He offered to recook the meal, but I simply wanted my money back.
He called someone from the back to process the refund, but I was not even given a refund receipt. No apology. No accountability. When I asked the supervisor for his name, he looked at me and said “no,” then walked away.

Read moreBought a 12 piece bucket, fries and gravy. Cost nearly 50 bucks and got 2 of these pieces roughly smaller than my pinky. So, I got 10pcs, fries, gravy and 2 chicken nuggets. It’s no wonder why KFC continues to tank. Didn’t bother to call and complain. It’s always just a hassle with any of the franchises and KFC.ca no longer wants to deal with customer issues and just sends you back to the franchisee who won’t answer the phone or fix the problem. It’s unfortunate because I actually like the product when made and delivered properly but the company as a whole has just decimated itself because of things like this. People are caring less and less to pay this much for chicken and deal with these issues on their own. Anyway, just my two cents. KFC will soon be gone. Find an alternative or make your own. Waste...
