Incident Report: Uber Eats Delivery Experience at Tim Hortons
Date: December 22nd, 2024 Time: 22:08 hrs Location: 1239 Donald Street, Ottawa, ON Female: Indian Complexion
Summary of Events: At 22:08 hrs on December 22nd, 2024, I arrived at the Tim Hortons Restaurant as an Uber Eats delivery driver to pick up an order (Order Number: 3165E). Upon entering the restaurant, I observed the following:
One female employee was attending to the cash register. One male and one female employee were present in the back of the restaurant, engaged in conversation and laughter.
Interaction with Staff: I approached the female employee at the cash register to inquire about the Uber Eats order. She responded by pointing to the other side of the counter and stated that the order was being prepared there.
When I noticed the two employees in the back laughing and chatting, I attempted to call out to them to inquire about the status of the order. At this point, the female employee at the cash register yelled out at me, asking, "What's the problem? What did I tell you? I said I was making the order." I also noticed that she had a wireless headphone in her ear, suggesting that she might have been annoyed by the disruption to her conversation with someone over the phone.
I calmly informed her that she needed to lower her voice as she was yelling. She then stated, "You're not my boss," and refused to provide me with the Uber Eats order.
Impact: Customer Impact: The customer waiting for their order will experience delays and dissatisfaction due to the lack of timely service. Driver Impact: Despite the delay, I will still be compensated as I have waited for 15 minutes and can request support to cancel the order due to the long wait time. Store Impact: The store's food and drinks will go to waste as they won't be delivered, resulting in a financial loss for the business.
Recommendation: I recommend that the owner of the Tim Hortons restaurant take immediate action to address the behavior of the employee involved. This incident reflects poorly on the store's customer service standards and can lead to negative experiences for both customers and delivery drivers. I will also be contacting Tim Hortons' corporate office to file a formal complaint regarding this incident.
Conclusion: This experience highlights the need for better training and communication among staff members to ensure a positive and efficient service for all customers and...

I usually don’t leave reviews, but my recent experience was so disappointing I felt like I had to say something. I ordered a Scrambled Egg Breakfast Box, a Brookie, and a Large Iced Caramel Coffee, and almost everything went wrong.
First, I received the Scrambled Egg Box, and the top hash brown was cut, but the one underneath wasn’t even touched. I mean, is it really that hard to cut a hash brown? It might sound minor, but it just felt lazy. Still, I was willing to let that go — it was at least edible, so no big complaint there. And I don’t mind
What annoyed me more was the Omelette Bites. I asked for them, and they told me they only had the Spanish one, which I didn’t want. So, I settled for a Brookie, and honestly — that was the best part of my entire meal. It was fresh, tasty, and exactly what I expected.
Now, let’s talk about the worst part: the Caramel Iced Coffee. I usually order mine with almond milk and no sugar, but this time I thought I’d switch it up and try it with caramel and cream. Big mistake. It tasted like a dead mouse soaked in sewage — I’m not even exaggerating. It was so bad that I couldn’t even imagine what it would’ve tasted like with almond milk and no sugar — I probably would’ve vomited after one sip.
And to make matters worse, the staff were rude and unprofessional. The lady working at the register had a miscommunication with the customer in front of me. The customer was trying to ask about her sandwich, and instead of listening, the cashier just ignored her completely and started taking my order. The customer was confused and stepped in front of me again to continue her question — it was just awkward and unnecessary.
To be fair, not all the staff are like this. I’ve had better experiences in the evening, especially with the younger workers — they’re usually friendlier and more helpful. Also, the baked items like donuts and cookies are generally good and fresh, so credit where it’s due.
But overall? Very bad experience. It felt like nobody cared about the quality of the food or the customer service. If you don’t know how to make food properly or treat customers with basic respect, maybe you’re in the wrong job. I won’t be returning to this location anytime soon in morning time

Read moreI have never felt so discriminated at a Tim Hortons. On a Thursday night me and my daughter decided to grab a meal. There was no line so I was trying to see what we wanted because there was a few different items, that I did not see before. The screen was changing often so I could not see the Items long enough to make a quick decision. After about a minute I approached the counter, keep in mind there is nobody behind me or else I would have let them past. I could see that the lady at the counter was already impatient. I gave my order then proceeded to ask for an apple friter, she said anything else I sais no that is all. She made or order very aggressively and hand it out. When I got my meal I ask for my apple friter immediately she screamed you did not order an apple friter. I stayed calm and sais yes I did. She sreamed again. My daughter that is 18 ask to see the receipt. We went back to the cash. She printed it out, again I will mention there is no customers waiting to be served. I see that she did not charge me for it. No problem, I will order it and pay for it. I go to order she leaves, standing with her back to me cleaning counters, so I wait a few minutes and the manager ask her to serve me. She ignores him, another minute pass he ask her again. She turns around put my order in and gives me my apple friter. I proceeded to pay cash. She goes ans put my change in a little tip char that they had close to the cash. I did not believe that a tip was appropriate for this tipe of service so I reach in the pot and took my change back. By this time I am not feeling too good about my experience, my daughter says that we should go eat in the truck. I said no we will sit and have our meal. As soon as we sit down, I can hear the lady talk to her co-workers in another language that I cannot understand all the time staring at us. Yes maybe she was having a bad day, but trust me I did everything in my power to stay polite and not agrevate the situation. Will not be returning to...
