When they say lounge, they mean lounge. Plan for a meal or entertainment elsewhere on date night. Great to relax and try scotch from standard to obscure distilleries. Not many risky/rare bottles though. Cocktails are all scotch as well. If you have the pallet for scotch this is definitely the place for you. If you are a sommelier you might find the selection very safe. Unfortunately, we could not try a lot because most bottles from the flights were sold out - no subs. Not much room for other interests though. We tried the bar nuts as it was the only food available. For the price I was hoping for a better roast. the food was very good, the service was decent, welcoming and very friendly; and the atmosphere was great. the music was wonderful, in fact we ended up there because of the music. HOWEVER, the evening turned sour when i was told that this establishment did not desire to deal in cash. It is very short sighted for an independent business to be phasing out the use of cash. This will be their demise. I promise. i support independent businesses across all sectors, and have been self employed for almost 30yrs. The bar itself has a great ambience. Very cozy and warm vibe. The selection of scotch that they offer is great and there is definitely something to satisfy everyone's tastebud. The food portions are good but the selection is limited. This is understandable as they focus on their scotches rather than give a full restaurant experience. The staff who attended to our group knew about the scotches on offer, the taste pallet and helped us make the right choice!
