My wife and I have now had several delicious Vietnamese dinners at Pho Viet Taste and we would highly recommend this restaurant. First, because it is not in Chinatown, we have always found this placer more calm as a venue and clearly this is a family-run business. The staff have always been attentive, but it is the high quality of the food that is the highlight. The Pho soup broth here is just right: it is not salty, but it has deep and balanced flavour. The portion size is also just right: often after eating Pho, you can feel like you had too much salty broth, but not here. After eating here, we always felt satisfied and comfortable. The spring roll appetizers are also crispy and tasty. And I recently tried the traditional Vietnamese Hot and Sour soup...and it was a hit. Not only was this excellent broth, but the bowl came with many fresh and delicious vegetables as well as thin slices of beef. And we also had their simple, but very tasty dessert of bananas fried in spring roll wrappers with peanuts and ice cream. We will continue to go have soup at Pho Viet Taste!! It is an excellent restaurant.

Outside of Chinatown, this is the best Pho spot in the city! It’s a clean restaurant which isn’t always the case so it is worth pointing this out. The older man that was working our table was such a great guy. Always there when you needed something but also happy a great personality. I loved the amount of vegetables that were giving in the rice dish that I had. It was really good and I will definitely order that mean again. I thought it was interesting how they cut the chicken but other than that it was great. The person I was with also like their meal so that’s a big ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Although on Wellington St and far from the China Town vibe, this quaint restaurant still maintained the ambience and service of its Somerset counterparts. Many places to park in front of the restaurant and on side streets. My main was the Thai Soup with Rare Beef (S4 on the menu) The broth was flavourful, the beef was thinly sliced and quite delicious! And everything tasted and smelled fresh! Would definitely go again to this location for a quick high quality pho instead of making the trip to China town where parking can be quite difficult.

I was excited to visit this restaurant based on their Google review. Once we got there, everything was great - staff was attentive, quick to get our orders in, and set up our table.

When I got my soup, it was lukewarm as if it was heated in the microwave. Sure, some people like it hot, some people like it lukewarm, nothing wrong with that. But when I asked the staff to have mine reheated as I like mine hot, he was quite dismissive. He said that it’s already hot and can’t heat it for us. He said “what do you want me to do?” I could’ve suggested a couple of ways to reheat the soup if he really didn’t know. But his reason was because the bowl would be too hot for him to carry….

In addition to the lukewarm temperature of the soup, the size of a large noodle soup was disappointing. Normally, I share a large soup with another person but I could eat the whole thing and still eat another portion.

Lastly, the way they clean the tables is not hygienic. Same cloth over and over, not rinsed or washed, the staff brings the garbage can to wipe down the tables (while we were right behind them eating). And with their same hands, they prepare utensils, tea pots and cups, and condiments to bring to your table without washing their hands, between each task.

Sad that our visit did not meet the experiences that others had as seen in reviews. Unfortunately, I will not revisit this...

Very clean, cozy place, great food ,but the service was terrible, hence the 2 stars!! When we arrived we were not greeted with a hello.."For three?sit anywhere"! First off the server comes no hello..sprays and wipes table in front of us ..sprays me,I say nothing! We were handed the menus and a piece of paper and pen ..nothing explained like we have been there before. We were not told we had to write our own order down and that instructions were on the first page of menu! We were always saying please and thank you...with no response! When we asked for some plates for the rice ..server actually huffed 😤how the heck are we supposed to eat right off the one plate?!! Sever never came and asked if we would like another drink or anything! As I go up to the front to pay same server doesnt ask how eveything was ..nothing So I asked if he was having a bad day? He said yes ..I nicely explained to him that bad day or not you still have to be courteous and welcoming, especially in the restaurant industry explained a few things..hopefully he "Got It" but doubtful! With that said unfortunately, we will not be back...
