The food was excellent, the service was incredible. Some of us had never tried Bosnian food, and they recommended us what to take. We called early to order. Everything was prepared on time, warm when we arrived, and the staff were extremely welcoming. We tried the meat and cheese börek and a box of cevap. The coffee was an excellent bonus. Highly recommended.

Well organized compact shop to get your European essentials. There is a deli with Halendas products, a full commercial kitchen, skincare products, grains and flours, snacks, desserts and more. While we were there, they were cooking some delicious looking roast pig which smelled incredible! The cheese burek was very good, but quite expensive for its size.

Bought without checking expiry date, came home and saw it expired 2 years ago. For such a small store you would have thought it would be easy to check the expiry dates of items. Unfortunately reading other recent reviews makes me think continous affair of things and not a one off.

I have to say that this store has the best balkan products in the area! I hope people will see that and help to support the business instead of complaining and behaving like spoiled children. Nice to have some understanding and courtesy sometimes to support the only business that offers balkan products in the area! Me and my family made pickled stuff regularly and their expiry date was very long because they can be preserved for years. People used to eat preserved food during long wars and famines and survived! That was what kept them alive! Dry products as well, they rarely go bad. Seriously times are coming when we will be happy to eat anything, and hopefully you will see that loving God and loving your neighbours is all that is asked from us! ✝️💟😊 nothing on this earth is permanent so be kind while we are here. What a beautiful find !!!!! This store is very modern and and well laid out. Service is absolutely amazing . So attentive and the chef made us 4 meals to go - we tried something we have never had before BBQ Cevap size Large. So much food - we easily could have split it - so delicious . Everything is home made, from the meats to the baked goodies/ treats . It was hard to decide what to buy - they all looked so good. The only place in Eastern Ontario where you can try traditional Bosnian Ćevapi. Skela Food makes excellent Ćevap.

Ćevapi has its origins in the Balkans during the Ottoman period, and represents a regional specialty similar to the kofte kebab. They are usually served of 5–10 pieces on a plate or in a flatbread (lepinje), often with chopped onions, sour cream, kajmak, ajvar or feta cheese.
