So I really never right reviews unless something exceptional good or bad happens⦠here it was interesting. I went to Starbucks for the shorter line paid $1.40 extra for my coffee and got to wait five minutes while the car in front got its drinks ā¦then when I got to the window, I was presented with the machine, which of course asked for a tip⦠the gentleman that took my payment, then looked at the machine, saw that I had not given them a tip and proceeded to untangle the machines wire in front of me for about a minute and a half. decided to talk with colleagues had ordered one coffee with two cream⦠left me with the definite impression that because I hadnāt given a tip I was being made to wait an extra minute and a half then it turned into two minutes while they discussed something and then handed me a coffee without a heat sleeve around it as well, and the look of contempt on the gentlemanās face was the least noticeable⦠so in response to transactional experience, and considering that the staff seem to base their service on the tip that you just gave⦠My future response will be no further business stay away from the barista at this location. For some reason they think that their customer services is a step above when really McDonaldās and Tim Hortons at all locations in this town do customer service so much better⦠all the while you donāt have to worry about giving a tip and wondering if youāre going to get good service⦠let me be clear I I usually tip exceptionally well for exceptional service. This, however,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNever in my life have I ever been greeted by such a beautiful soul in the service industry. I feel so bad not getting the name of the lady that made my drinks tonight but I know she had braids with some pink and her name started with an A and she had stickers on her name tag.
I came in after work to get drinks for a road trip and after I paid, I went to wait for my drinks and this lady greeted me with the biggest smile and the more genuine hello.
Iām not new to Starbucks but there are days where I forget modifications to my drink when ordering (oops). I quickly snuck in to mention a simple modification. She then took it a step further and asked if another part of the same drink was alright⦠surly I didnāt want that either. I would have been fine with the drink as is but it just made me so happy walking out of there with my drink so perfect. Sometimes you get people who says āno problemā but itās met with an annoyed half smile, not in this case.
I have worked retail and sales my entire life and I would do anything to have this lady on my team. She is the kindest human being I have ever met.
I walked into the Starbucks dreading this road trip and feeling tired and I feel lifted with happiness.
Never in my life did I imagine writing a review like this but as a former retail manager, this is a message to the manager of this Starbucks. This lady you have, she is gold.
To that lady, thank you genuinely for putting a smile on my face this evening.

Ā Ā Ā Read morePulled through this drive through on a slow Monday afternoon. There was 1 car behind us and 1 car infront. It took them almost 10 minutes to make our order of 2 relatively simple drinks. Unsurprisingly they screwed up both orders and we had to go in to get replacements. Inside the cafe had no one waiting for drinks so why were they so slow? Absolutely ridiculous. Made us wait another 10 minutes for our remakes as there was 1 person on bar, with the other 4 baristas just standing around with their hands in their Pockets. Staff was uncaring and muttered at us. Was a terrible experience. At this point I might aswell go to a timmies because at least they are quick to fix...
