Phở Vietnam — Restaurant in Ottawa

Down from Cornwall to visit my parents is always exciting. Especially when I get to have some good Ottawa Asian food!! Well, this time we had a time constraint and we weren’t near Somerset where majority of good Pho restaurants are located. Instead we went to Pho Vietnam…we had ordered the seafood special, wonton soup, pho tai(thinly sliced rare beef) and jackfruit smoothie(sadly they stop selling smoothies…BUT ITS STILL ON THE MENU!!! 😡🤬). Service is “Typical” of a Pho place(Non existent). Everything but the beans sprout had flavour. $0.50 instant noodle had more flavour. The broth of all 3 soups was VERY Underwhelming(taste like hot tap water). I doused the broth with sooo much hoisin sauce(didn’t help!!). I’m sadden by this place attempt of Vietnamese food(My Culture!) Please go to the dollar store if you want Pho…all you need is boiling water and it’ll be 7.5 times better!!! I will say this. If you like beans sprouts…go try the restaurant. ...

Ordered a pork and shrimp Pho bowl. I was disappointed only three shrimp were added, but they made up for it with ample amounts of pork. I've eaten in the restaurant before, decided to take this one to go. When I got around to eating it, the broth was normal - flavourless chicken stock; The noodles, pork, and shrimp in a separate container, all gelled together. The rice noodles are hard as rock, and un-edible; Even after tossing it in the broth and re-heating it;

If you want to compare your taste buds, you should try the one on the corner of bank and hunt club 'Pho Mi Bo Ga'

My first time ordering from here and I wanted to like it so badly since this is the closest Vietnamese restaurant to my house, but I was incredibly disappointed. I ordered the vermicelli with beef and spring rolls. It came with two spring rolls, both miniature sized. The beef was mediocre in terms of flavour but the biggest disappointment has to be the portion size. I don’t eat much in general, but I was still starving after I finished this. I have no idea how this could possibly feed any grown adult. For $18 after tax this was a complete rip off. Will not...
