Subway — Restaurant in Ottawa

I am a regular Subway eater and travel often with work, so have eaten in may across North America. This is actually one of the closest to my place, but I never go there. But I went back there to day and remembered why. These guys give you the "hello Sir", "yes Sir", "right away sir" treatment, like they are out of a 1950's black and white film, but meanwhile you get two shards of green pepper, a smidge of lettuce and the bare minimum of any other vegetable that would qualify as a topping. But then, when it comes adding extras, they go straight for them. No, I don't want guacamole on my meatball sub, thank you. And if you don't get the combo, you get "the look" instead. These guys really think that they are fooling people. And if you're just passing through and in a rush for a quick, healthy meal you won't think anything of it. But I'm a regular, and I see them cutting corners. I am just really wondering how much can they be saving by limiting the amount of lettuce? Anyhow, that's why I eat at another Subway. It's a little farther away, but I can trust them to be professional...

Absolutely horrible service I walked in today to order the same sub I've been ordering for over 5 years at this point the man was already not so pleasant than I place my order I get about as far as him pulling the bread out and there is an issue with me ordering an item that has always been and still is on the menu a simple meatball marinara sub the man made this a big deal ohhh I can do it this time but next time it must be the new meatballer with extra items i wasn't interested we got to making my sub I asked for 3 topping but a large quantity of these toppings the man than decided to say to me I can put the whole container on the sub but everything has a limit I pay for My sub and out of at least 10 toppings I pick 3 I have never in my life had an issue over ordering my sub he was so beyond disrespectful I walked out while he was half way done making my sub and the man than threatened me what amazing customer...

My wife and I can't really afford Subway unless we receive coupons in the mail, but when we do we always make sure to come to this location for one reason- the service is outstanding.

AJ is the Michelangelo of Sandwich Artisans. Not only is he hilarious, he has mastered the art of the sammy. He always has amazing suggestions that encourage us to try new things and we have never been anything short of delighted with his professional advice. I would honestly feel comfortable telling him to surprise me with whatever he makes. I trust him not only with my sandwich, but my life.
