I don’t usually write complaints, but I felt compelled to share my experience at this SconeWitch location. While the scones themselves were undeniably delicious—rich, flavorful, and perfectly baked—the service left a lot to be desired. We arrived around 10:30 AM and were surprised to find that several core items were already sold out, including their signature cream and jam, as well as jasmine tea. It was frustrating to have such limited options so early in the day. On top of that, the staff at the counter seemed indifferent and passive. My family was visiting from New York, and as we took a few minutes to review the menu, the employee looked visibly annoyed with how long we were taking. The biggest issue came with our takeout order. We purchased four scones—lemon, blueberry, cheddar, and oatmeal—but realized halfway down the block that one was missing. When we returned, the staff member took the cheddar scone from our bag and casually put it back on the tray to be sold again, which raised serious concerns about hygiene. That scone had already left the premises, and for it to be returned to general stock is simply unacceptable. Additionally, despite clearly explaining that we were still missing a scone, it took another few minutes before the situation was corrected. Needless to say this left us with a very sour impression...
Read moreThe food is excellent but the vibes and atmosphere of the place are horrid. The ceiling looks like the forgot to put a ceiling in. It’s exposed pipes and a bunch of random objects on shelfs that hardly gives off the vibe of a trendy café. Bare white walls, one bathroom is perpetually broken and for some reason they have a man in some kind of sling ay the front manning the cash. It’s really off putting. He doesn’t even care enough to stand up to serve me. None of the other employees seem happy to work here. How about a smile? Zero lilt in your voice? At least fake it, it’s not hard. The red haired girl is beyond rude. Scowling at people and mocking them when she thinks no one is listening. You should be happy for the business! Instead they just take your order and give you a number. Very clinical. There’s constant banging as they claim to be doing dishes and “baking scones” despite always being out of everything. It’s just rude.
Your best option is to order something for take away and...
Read moreThese ppl are always fantastic to just talk to & for instance we found ourselves in a conversation about old native Pathways along the rivers lol. Totally odd. Lots of ppl like myself are picking up orders. They do deliver to your house but I missed my time frame whoops. I get the wheat free raspberry ones & bc I'm allergic to wheat there's only 2 choices But at same time I can buy something yummy AND FRESH in my own neighborhood!! My friend was with me & she bought a vanilla cream scone & spelled so yummy!! I made sure to differentiate this is Not Celiac Friendly at all. Great for wheat allergy & possibly keto but that's it. Please Please keep this in mind!! Across the street on Beechwood is the Metro. They have no fresh gf but usually a good amount of gf frozen. That's great for Celiac!! Plus the manager will bring things in if he knows he has a customer for it. When I lived in walking distance he used to buy me...
