I typically don't leave reviews, especially negative ones, as I understand everyone is trying their best. However, I feel compelled to share my recent experience. I bought a lemon and poppy seed scone for my child, as I have many times before, but this time was different. My child noticed something foreign in the scone, which I initially thought was a large piece of lemon. Upon closer inspection, I was horrified to find that it was a piece of plastic. My child had been chewing on this plastic, trying to separate it from the scone. If my child hadn't shown me, I might not have noticed it in time. I am deeply concerned and appalled that such a large piece of plastic was baked into the scone, especially one I gave to my child. It's alarming to think there could be more plastic that was missed. This is a choking hazard not just for children but even adults and at that size. How can something like this happen? I took as many photos as I could in order to document this. This is by far the best place ever to buy the most delicious scones!!!

For Mother's Day, I ordered 24 frozen scones (8 vanilla cream, 8 ginger currant, and 8 lemon lavender) as well as two containers of Devon cream for delivery, however I had accidentally placed the order for the weekend AFTER Mother's Day. I did not realize this, until I received an email from them saying that often people accidentally do this, and they asked me if I was sure I was placing the order for the right day. I replied to them and told them they were right and that I had wanted to order for Mother's Day but had got the date wrong. They quickly changed my order, and I was able to pick up the scones in time! Their delivery/pickup system is clearly so well run, and both people who I spoke to on the phone were so kind and helpful.

In addition to this, the scones are to die for, and they came frozen with a list of instructions on how to bake them. My favourite is by far the vanilla cream, but the other two kinds are equally as delicious and well made. :)

My husband went with my two daughters (one and three year old), after preordering the scones, they refused to let him in with the rest of the customers because they are still a business policing people on masks. Upon my husband exiting to wait outside as they discriminate against people (I wish he had cancelled the order altogether but anyway), one of the customers who heard came out and accosted him and proceeded to harass him in front of my daughters, including requesting to know our daughters’ vaccination status. Singling out my husband to wait outside because he isn’t wearing a mask (which isn’t even mandated) emboldened bullies to go and harass him and my daughters. This is not okay, especially in 2023. By singling people out , they make people a target when my husband and kids were just trying to pick up food for Mother’s Day. My three year old came back home distraught about a mean lady who was yelling at them.
