Tim Hortons — Restaurant in Ottawa

This place is disorganized all the time. I’m eating what is definitely a day old donut right now, and don’t even want to go through the hassle of asking for one made on this calendar day due to how long the first order took.

This place has no discernible order, and I’ve never even heard them once utilize the name they ask for at order time. They just yell out items, and I frequently have to remind them of at least one item in my order. One time I asked the shift manager why this is often the case, and he responded with such derision that I walked out of here without my coffee. This is the closest Tim’s to my house, so I always come back hoping for better.

Edit: The phone number and the website given below are a huge runaround. Nobody wants to spend 30 minutes to reiterate their experience to a call center personnel for what I imagine is a five dollar gift card.

The older lady that works the counter keeps that place going. You can tell she’s worked to the bone and cares about the place. However, she’s also unbelievably rude to both her coworkers (I’ve heard a few instances of “if x, so help me god…”) and customers. I’ve had an incident where I ordered a combo and didn’t get a donut. This lady was super short, and the manager came out to help out. She offered me the donut due to the misunderstanding and to thank me for the feedback. She didn’t have to, but it was nice. When I finished my sandwich and started to eat the donut, she complained loudly to me that “it’s not right” and that I “shouldn’t get the donut”. So, I stopped eating it and put it on the counter and told her to sort herself out.

This place is an absolute mess, and I’d recommend going to any other location to force their hand in...

My husband and I order tim Hortons multiple times a day, for the last week and a half, when I go in to order a Vanilla coconut cold brew with espresso foam(which goes on top) they tell me they don't have the espresso foam, again today I walk in to make my order and STILL no espresso foam.... Other times instead of telling me they didn't have espresso foam they would just make my husband a cold brew instead of wanting to do a refund they just give me a wrong drink. I used to never have problems with this location till recently... Not happy at all...

Just like the other day one of the employees argued with me after I told him that he didn't put the espresso foam on top and he stated the espresso foam is not for the vanilla coconut cold brew WITH espresso foam(read the name "vanilla coconut cold brew with espresso foam") it's for the hazelnut cold brew. After arguing with me I left the store, came back an hour or two later for more drinks and the girls who witnessed this argument said that I was correct that it's for the vanilla coconut cold brew with the espresso foam (duh, it says it in the name)... I am not sure if all these staff members are properly trained or if this guy is just completely ignorant and doesn't care about his job and likes to waste people's money by making wrong drink and arguing when in the wrong. While I love the owner and most of the staff the service is so incredibly slow. Painfully slow, I don't stop in for breakfast most days as even with 3 people in line it can take 7 minutes just to have someone take your order. There is zero hustle in the staff, who are all competent, they are simply the slowest I've ever seen in the fast food industry.

I have regularly shared my frustration with the speed of service with my colleagues and while in my neighbourhood, on of my colleagues went in on a Monday at 2 in the afternoon and witnessed first hand how incredibly slow the service is. Morning, noon or night they are always SO SLOW. Just a heads up if you're thinking of popping in for breakfast a simple order can take 15-20 minutes to get to you.

The other day there were 8 people on the floor and it took three of them to change a receipt paper roll, then immediately three of them had to go and poke around with an order on the other screen. One time i ordered a croissant toasted with cheddar cheese and the poor guy was so, so painfully confused. I ordered this as they were out of egg, I stood around for 10 minutes and he still hadn't made my order. I was going to be late for work so I had to walk out...without any food...that I paid for. Like, come on guys, get...
