V BANHMI — Restaurant in Ottawa

Went there today on Good Frday at opening time 12pm. 3 other tables besides us and we saw the waiter bring water to each table except ours. We greeted the waiter when we came so he knew we were there. After 10mn, I called and politely asked him if we can get water too. We decided to get a cheesecake and drink, something quick since we had our 2 little boys with us. After awhile all tables and even people who came after us were getting their food. I know restaurants get busy but 20mn for cheesecake and boba drink, not checking on the customers to inform them but us having to follow up twice. We decided to take them home by the time it was ready

Maybe it's the waiter today but his service to us was bad. You guys need to provide more training and make the customers feel good spending there. It was our 1st visit and we decided also and last visit because we felt like our business didn't matter. I'm really happy this place has opened in Barrhaven, very good desserts, friendly staff, and the store looks great.

Service was pretty good. We got our desserts relatively fast, around 10-15 minutes, which is not bad at all considering how the store was packed.

There aren't many viable locations open past 9 pm in Barrhaven. Although it's not by much longer, im glad this spot stays open until 10 pm.

It's a little different from what I had in the past in Toronto or at the downtown Ottawa location, but for the better. When I last had sugar marmalade, they had pre-set shaved ice options. Now they have a DIY shaved ice, and I think that is much better. I really liked the idea of being able to customize my shaved ice how I want it.

My only complaint is that one of our cups was a little dirty, but that's not a big deal. We just asked for a new one.

I would highly recommend this spot of you like asian desserts! But be prepared to wait, because I expect them to have a lot...

Terrible place. I ordered a cheesecake and when it came it was frozen with literal ice on it. I could hear ice as I chewed. I let the staff know and they took it back and put it in the microwave. And then they brought it back and it was still frozen with ice on it. I let them know I didn’t want it anymore and they took it away. However, they still charged me for it. When I asked them why, they said it was supposed to be frozen like that because they get their cheesecake from a franchise and it would melt otherwise. I told them that it doesn’t make sense to take the cheesecake out and serve to the customer while it’s frozen and they refused to acknowledge that they did anything wrong. The staff was rude and refused to take responsibility for the situation or try to do anything to fix it. I will never be trying this place again and...
