Willie's Chinese Food — Restaurant in Ottawa

We have been ordering food from this place for over 50 years (!); to be told by the guy who answered my call that I am ignorant and « don’t call here again » and then “click” (he hung up on me) simply because I was calling to share a complaint about not receiving the food I ordered, is as we say in French, ORDINAIRE.

To the owner: this guy who constantly calls your women clients his « Love » (which is condescending and offensive) needs to be educated on how to interact with clients. I strongly suggest that you explain to him that he is not the owner, hence, does not have the authority to tell clients to not call again.

I have no intention of letting this incompetent employee dictate where I order my food but should another similar incident happen again, by his own fault for taking down orders much too quickly and not paying attention, I may have to consider supporting another restaurant (you are no longer the only chinese food resto around) and encouraging my family and friends to do the same. We drive 30 minutes back and forth to eat your food, some degree of consideration, respect, and understanding should prevail, not this fake and unwarranted drama-queen...

My husband is home from the military and all he wanted for his birthday was dinner from Willie's. We are long time customers, but gotta say, we were quite disappointed this time. 1. They ran out after him cause they forgot our fried won tons. 2. They forgot to pack the lemon sauce for our lemon chicken. 3. We asked to substitute chop suey for chow mein, but we got the chow mein. 4. The general Tao chicken was not in a sealed container and leaked through one whole bag of food. After going back a second time for the chow mein and lemon sauce, I missed the birthday dinner with the family. I made my plate but found 5. the lemon chicken was cooked to the point that the meat was hard. Not edible and it went straight into the food green bin. 6. Same for the chicken wings, green bin. For some reason we had 20 fortune cookies with a dinner for 5, and they threw in an extra fried rice for us having to come back. But sorry, that really didn't make up for much when we had to throw out 2 dishes, had to make 2 trips and our family celebration was...

Good customer service goes a long way. Poor customer service makes us go away. I called to ask 1) If they had an item I wanted 2) how much for delivery and then was told I could call back once I knew my order. I stated I was ready to order and would prefer not to call back. An hour later the order arrives, I received a veggie stir fry and not a veggie RICE stir fry. They claim it’s my error. Why is it when I asked for no eggs and to make it vegetarian they didn’t clue in there was an error? When I called I was told firmly it was my mistake. Rice is like $3 full price - their cost is less. Sad to see they’d rather put the blame on me than resolve a follow up call. I had gone here for years, but honestly there are too many other options in Orleans now to bother with repairing this...
