After choosing this place (without much research) just saw it had fairly good reviews I decided, if I’m driving 45 min for my hospital appointment I really don’t want my first time getting to eat out in a while to suck (since I live in the blue mountains everything actually IS expensive) so I first looked at the pictures and am so confused how this place stays in business with such garbage looking food?! Why the heck does your hollandaise sauce have chunks in it? You reuse this for 3 days? You potato hash or what ever that is looks absolutely nasty, this IS NOT a “well maybe if you tried it before you knock it” situation, I’m a chef, people, not animals, eat with their eyes first and this is NOT appealing, so I went on to read other poorly rated reviews and come to see how you talk to and handle yourself with replies to people’s honest opinion of your place. If you have lived here for 17 years and gone to university, most people would expect your English to be better, Canada is one of, if not the most multicultural country in the world and I personally love that aboot ;) Canada. I have also personally worked for and with employees/ers from all over the world, China/Pakistan/Greece/Portugal/India and others, and MOST understand, if you personally or your family can’t speak a 6/7 out of 10 English, then you need to higher a hostess/waitress and staff you pay fairly, don’t treat like garbage that DO so they WANT to be there. you clearly have anger issues the way you responded to valid and calmly expressed customer complaints, when someone reviews you and says “I mean no offence but the kind woman at the counter was very hard to understand” and you respond by insulting them, you have lost my business and I hope yours goes under so a better one can take it’s place, hopefully hearing the truth will help you make some much needed changes to your attitude and cooking operation. Canada has clearly given you opportunity, show gratefulness and be kind to others not rude and offensive when people are legitimately trying to GIVE you money . . .and why are you claiming fake reviews on people when you provide no proof but when people complain about food poisoning or your food being terrible you ask for proof? Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. The one lady who claimed her food was burnt I have no doubt in my mind she is telling the truth, the pancakes look burnt the other lady complained about her veggies tasting burnt the fish and fries also look way over done, and if it’s “the lighting in the picture” ,take better pictures, I love the reference given to your store of being like “something out of kitchen nightmares with Gordon Ramsey. haha I almost wanna stop by this morning to see how it holds up to these reviews, maybe I’ll even order something and remove this review if proven wrong, but prolly not, I value my money...
Read moreI went out for breakfast with my mother & girlfriend. When we walked into the 10th Street Diner we were not greeted at all by the waitress/hostess. She stared at us blankly and pointed to the back of the diner. Odd. We made our way to the back and sat down. She was the only waitress in the restaurant. So we gave her the benefit of the doubt. She walked back up after 10 minutes and handed me a book. It was for CoVid. I wrote down my name and number. She did not take drink orders. Just went back to the server stand. We all took turns going to the restroom. Another ten minutes had rolled by she came back to take our orders. Staring at as blankly and giving us no prompts she took the most awkward order ive ever seen. We were not leaving a tip at this point. She sauntered back off to the server stand. Another five minutes roll by and no coffee. At this point we got up to leave. We announced we had seen enough. She replied dryly "ok". I usually am not vocal or get mad but this woman's customer service was the poorest I've seen. Go to the Pub or the Boot & Blade instead. Zero stars. Fire that waitress. Do...
Read moreMy friend and I went out for brunch and found this AWESOME place! Large menu, reasonable pricing, large portions, older but clean place and incredible customer service!!
The food was probably the BEST brunch/breakfast I've had in years. I LOVE their hash browns, full of onion and peppers, very flavorful! Eggs were fresh and cooked perfectly. Bacon and sausage were well done (at our request) and TONS of both. Pancakes are fluffy and served with sliced strawberries, well presented. My friend is allergic to strawberries and maple syrup, and was VERY pleased to find out they had grape jelly available.
We weren't rushed through our meal even though we came in close to closing time (2pm). I couldn't finish my meal (The BIG breakfast) and have enough left over for another meal! Staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and we will certainly be back!!! Soon!!
A+++! 🤩
Thanks for am AMAZING...
