We have given this Restaurant 3 years of going there to get it right. We have now decided to no longer frequent Pacific Prime. We don't mind the high prices if service and food is good. Our last visit was the August Long Weekend. We had an appointment to go to and arrived in plenty of time for a lunch on the patio. Service is always very slow. It took a good hour for our food to arrive. I had ordered a Caesar salad, no bacon and salmon on the side. I was served a Chicken Cobb Salad with a piece of Salmon on top. How could they get it that wrong. A couple next to us had the same issue and the wife had to share her lunch with her husband as there was an issue with his order. They also left unhappy. The place was not busy, so that was no excuse. As time was running out, the server apologized and said they were re plating my lunch and it would come out shortly. We opted to stay. Another half hour went by and no lunch. Finally the kitchen manager came to our table. To be honest, he was useless. Then to my surprise, the lunch came in a bag to go after we had been told they were just plating it, now about 45 minutes later. So frustrating. This is not the first time. Each year we tried there were issues. The day before my husband asked for a second drink. The server went away and never came back and no drink. We were comped on the meal, which is the right thing to do. I took the bagged lunch that I waited over an hour and a half for and wolfed it down in our room before our meeting. During all this, my husband ate his lunch. I do not recommend this place...

Such a disappointment to say the least. Given such a beautiful location I was excited to have lunch with a girlfriend but unfortunately it was underwhelming and took FOR EVER.

We got sat outside and then had no one come to our table for at least 20 min, then the manager came out to apologize and take a drink order ( which you would think they would have taken care of the first round but they didn’t) then after another 15 min our two glasses of wine finally arrived. After that we waited another 10+ min for a server to come by and take our order, which took about 30+ min to arrive. I had the crab “Tim bits” which were so greasy that they were wet and not even crispy on the outside and the grease was all over the plate. I tried their ceviche which was brought out looking like a soup and was super mushy, I sent both back and then tried the prawn cocktail because it seemed like the safest and quickest option. My friend had a salad which was doused in dressing leaving her also feel like it was soupy. Our Server didn’t come to quality check at all either and then once we got the bill she had charged me for the wrong glass of wine which she then fixed and then when she came to take payment she decided to ask us “ what is one thing you enjoyed today” like really? My friend and I just laughed because it was so awkward she clearly knew she was a horrible server and our food was also a major let down. Hopefully things change for the better because the...

We ate here for lunch during Easter weekend with our toddler daughter. There is plenty of parking in the underground parkade in this beautiful hotel. The host provided us with a table with gorgeous views overlooking the beach and boardwalk. They also have these heated private domes out on the patio for $50 (not including food) for those who want to splurge out.

I ordered 2 pieces of cod fish and chips ($25), my wife got the burger ($19) and my daughter had a burger kids meal ($10). Our two guests ordered fancy salads ($19 & $21). The fish had a flaky batter and good size but could be better tasting. The coleslaw was outstanding and ranked up there as one of the best I had. The fries were nice and crisp. I rate it 4/5 for my meal. Everyone else seems to enjoy the food and atmosphere.

It was surprisingly quiet for lunch hour on Easter weekend but I'll take it as my toddler daughter was being loud lol. The host and server we had was wonderful and friendly. It wasn't busy, so we got really good service and hopefully it's that way even if busy. The location and views of the restaurant is why we came but the food was great too. The prices are a little higher due to this unique location and ambience but it was worth it in this case. Bonus! Afterwards we walked along the beach to burn off some of...

Beautiful views, pretty good food, but very slow and not attentive for service. We ordered the two prime rib dinners, two kids burger / grilled salmon and a few drinks and it took over 2.5 hours for dinner service. They took a long time to even fill drink orders. They never cleared any dishes from our table between servings, never gave us options on dinner appetizers, sides for the prime rib, or deserts (not sure if it ever had choices...). The only good service we got was the bill and charging us, chatting us up which secured the waitress some tip still. Even at that time they did not clear any dishes and took them another 30 mins before they finished clearing the uneeded dishes. The food was overall ok, not the best prime rib not the worst. Salad dressing was a bit too acidic for me and the desert was not house was not made in house as mentioned on their ad in the elevator and was way too sweet. Kids burgers had no condiments on it, just a slice of cheese, burger patty, and a bun, which was all a bit dry overall. Pretty disappointing as hotel guests. We enjoyed the hotel for the most part and the dinner was a big let down. I am not sure if it was the bar, the lack of dinner staff, the kitchen or a combination. View was really the only good thing this evening.

The only real selling point of this restaurant is the location. The patio has a gorgeous view of the beach and is connected to the boardwalk. However, everything else is terrible. The food is truly mediocre, especially for the price, and even the freshness of the seafood can’t cover up the fact that the food isn’t anything to write home about at all. But the worst part is how long the wait is. We had been seated for 15min before our server even made an appearance. It was a solid one hour, maybe even a little longer (60-70min) before our entrees appeared. And honestly very underwhelming (see pics). We have young kids with us so it was very difficult to keep them busy and seated for that long. Also another table next to us who had been there for 30-45 min by the time we left were STILL THERE when we walked through back to the hotel around 1.5 hrs later (we had gone for a walk along the boardwalk and took our kids to the playground to play.) Just really unacceptable for a restaurant that’s trying to be of a high calibre. Pictured is my entree, the pistachio encrusted cod.. it was mediocre and this was how it was presented.
