Harvey's — Restaurant in Parry Sound

My husband and I went there for dinner tonight after grocery shopping and I used the bathroom with hesitation as we have patronized Harvey’s about 3 times in the last 10 weeks. The same dirt and dried on urine in the restroom is still on the base of the toilet as it was 10 weeks ago, it absolutely is disgusting. The walls and doors of the stalls have splatter marks as well as caked on dirt and prints. The mirror is smeared and smokey, the trash was overflowing and the corners of the floors have mounds of sand. We also noted the walls in the dining room are much the same. We were there when the employees started cleaning for the restaurant closing at 6:40. The girl who wiped the tables did not change her cloth from table to table nor did she have any sanitizer. She didn’t wipe the seat or the arms of the chairs either. Our perception of this establishment is that it could certainly benefit in a much needed detailed cleaning. With the unsanitary conditions of the bathroom, one certainly questions what the overall cleanliness of the kitchen is like. Until the sanitation practices change we will not...

I have gone to Harvey's in Parry sound many times and almost every one of those times I've had an employee speaking a language I do not understand I've put in a complaint many times to the supervisor or who they tell me is the supervisor when I ask for them.... I'm not someone that gets upset often but when somebody speaking a different language when they're not supposed to I have a hard time because although they could be saying oh that guy was really nice. I hope he has a good day. But at the same time they could be saying that guy's bitchy I hope he gets out of here soon I don't like him... Anyways Harvey was an amazing restaurant to come into but now I have people speaking a different language I can't understand not making my food right in front of me like I asked them to and then saying oh it's okay anyway thank you very much for your time and consideration and I hope that this message is read and heard thank you for all that you do and...

Absolutely terrible service. DO NOT STOP HERE FOR ANY REASON. If you need to use the washroom, go anywhere else in Parry Sound. Arrived half an hour before dining closed, were told AFTER receiving our trays that they were closing in 15 minutes (15 minutes BEFORE the posted time). They then proceeded to rush us by cleaning up in the immediate area next to our table, swept garbage DIRECTLY into one of our groups feet while refilling their drink, BARRICADED us at our table, and locked the front doors before their posted closed time then yelled at us to go through the front doors when that was exactly what we were trying to do. How in the world is this acceptable customer service???? Short staff was NOT an excuse, there were plenty of them standing around staring at us talking about getting us to leave before 7pm. Will not return and will tell everybody I know about this...
