What should have been a simple takeout order turned into a two-hour nightmare of lies, gaslighting, and complete disrespect.
The Beginning: Website was slow, spam-filled garbage that made ordering unnecessarily difficult when I was already exhausted.
First Delivery: Driver lied to my face, claiming the order had two forks when there was only one. Called to get it corrected.
Phone Hell: Got transferred three times before reaching a "manager" who turned out to be lying about their position too. They questioned me in a disrespectful tone, found my justified anger amusing, and gaslit me whenever I called out their behavior. Kept saying "I'm trying to help" while doing everything except helping. When I refused to back down from their bullying, they had the audacity to say "We've never had a problem before" and "It's hard to help when you're yelling at me" - as if my anger at being manipulated, given the run-around and treated like the problem wasn't completely justified.
After I called out their toxic behavior for the 20th time, they snottily declared "This is going in circles" - yes, because YOU kept refusing to actually solve the problem. Offered a pathetic $10 credit like they were being generous.
Second Delivery: Driver had no clue what was happening, told me I had to pay again, saying "well it isn't FREE" when the receipt clearly showed otherwise. Once they realized their mistake, remained rude and dismissive throughout. As they got in their car, they delivered a parting "womp womp" when I mentioned that businesses get sued millions for less egregious behavior.
Final Insult: "Manager" refused to connect me with anyone higher up because "I could message the actual manager but I don't know if they're asleep" - as if that's my problem to solve.
Two hours of my life wasted dealing with their incompetence, lies, and abuse. They blamed ME for "going in circles" while systematically failing at every level of basic service. This isn't a restaurant - it's a dysfunctional operation that has normalized treating customers like garbage with zero accountability.
The fact that I had to fight for hours just to get a fork - a basic utensil needed to eat the food I paid for - while being lied to, gaslit, and mocked shows exactly what kind of business this is.
Save yourself the emotional, mental and spiritual labour. Order literally anywhere else.
UPDATE I fully expect this business to respond with some variation of "we're sorry you had a bad experience, but we always try our best to help customers" while completely ignoring the documented lies, unprofessional behavior, and disrespect detailed above. They'll likely paint me as an impossible-to-please customer rather than address the fact that their driver said "womp womp" to a paying customer, their staff lied about management positions, and they wasted two hours of someone's time over a missing fork.
This is exactly the pattern of behavior I experienced - create problems, then blame the customer for having a normal human response to being mistreated. Don't let them gaslight, abuse and manipulate you in their responses like they tried to me in person and...
Read moreThis Dominos branch is absolutely atrocious; the customer service is terrible - they treat customers extremely poor. Guess that's what happens when you get kids with a dismal upbringing working in the customer service industry.
I had a credit, which was initially inputted incorrectly, so the local store couldn't find my details via phone number... this is the only reference point that they have, your phone number. When I brought up an alternative to this silly, little girl of being able to cross-reference my last name, she just came up with excuses. But that was her whole m.o.: excuses. Right from the start of the phone call she was full of excuses. After only a short period dealing with my call, she hung up. Unbelievable. I then had to call back, where she automatically gave me... more excuses, stating how she had to calm down, and supposedly myself as well. The conversation barely got heated yet she felt the need to hang-up on a customer, and then have them call back, just so she could save her delicate soul. Maybe if she listened to customers to begin with, instead of constantly interrupting them, she wouldn't have these sorts of outcomes.
Whomever she was, she shouldn't be interacting with customers. All she essentially did was talk over me, through me, and around me, instead of actually listening and then trying to do something about it: constantly making up excuses and interrupting the customer. This isn't my first negative interaction with this store - there seems to be a very low level of training over at that branch. You get what you pay for... crappy pizza anyways; there's better out there.
I'm taking my business elsewhere.
P.S. Some of these glowing reviews below look fake... padded feedback to boost review stars. Good companies don't need to create false testimonies to look favourable to the...
Read moreI ordered on February 1, 2021 around 8:30. The food was hot and the delivery was prompt, though the wings were a bit underdone, as if the person working at the cut table was in a rush and reached the pizza peel in 3/4 through the oven cycle to get it out the door faster. The young man delivering my order was short with me, despite my wearing a mask and greeting him warmly. I had trouble with the debit machine, as I had entered the wrong amount and wanted to tip him more. He seemed aloof and frustrated and curtly told me I probably hit the tip percentage option instead of the amount option, which wasn’t the case as I simply wanted to increase his tip, which I still did despite his rudeness. I said thank you and told him to stay safe and he just turned away to his car without a word. As an assistant manager of a Dominos from 2009-2014, I have to say that I often expect the product to be middle-of-the-road, but the customer service and the value are what keep customers coming back. I received a decent and hot meal for a solid price, but the customer service was undeservedly and...
