One of the worst experiences ever. Service is awful. Not recommended at all. I had a reservation for 8pm for 4 people, show up on time and had to wait for 20 minutes even if there was plenty of free tables. Even if there were 3 free tables inside, we were given a table in the heated patio, where the temperature was too cold. After we request an indoor table, they made us wait additional 10 minutes, standing at the bar. This makes it 30 minutes waiting for a table, on a Monday night, with a reservation. When we are finally shown our table, the waitress comes and pours water on the table while filling up our glasses. A series of other similar episodes occur during the meal (she forgets to fill up our glasses, does not bring us the menus even if we asked, does not take away our empty plates, etc.) In our reservation (made days before) we had made clear that one of the people at the table had an allergy. Out of 25 dishes on the menu, we were told that only 4 could be eaten by that person, as no express food could be cooked. When we finally ordered our meal, we waited 25 minutes to get our first course and then additional 45 minutes for the main. The waitresses were absentminded and not receptive to orders, but what left us speechless was the approach of who we thought was the owner, who was extremely rude and unprofessional. I have travelled a lot in Canada and this was by far the worst...
Read moreLocation: At the edge of the village. You can walk if you're staying in the main part of town, otherwise they do have a small parking lot if you choose to drive.
The place: Fantastic space that's located inside a house. The design and decor are phenomenal and their terrace is amazing. Also, great music.
The goods: We started with the burrata, tomato, basil and balsamic vinegar. We were served the full ball of burrata, though it wasn't at room temperature therefore it was firm (not a huge deal - I just like when burrata is soft and creamy). As far as the tomatoes go, there was literally the equivalent of two cherry tomatoes cut in two, on the plate... For our main, we both ordered the seafood cassoulet, which was sinfully delicious and quite filling. There was a lot of seafood in there, and the rich, creamy sauce was just incredible. Considering how hearty the dish is, I would have preferred a salad or more vegetables instead of a side of mashed potatoes (there were a few veggies served with the dish). My mom wanted to order the chicken however it wasn't ready... Since we were full, we skipped dessert and ordered coffee - I don't know what kind of coffee these guys purchase but it was one of the best coffees I've had in a restaurant. For. Real.
Service: OK.
Price point: I personally found the prices to be a little on the high end considering...
Read morePretty content of my visit to this beautiful and cozy restaurant in Percé. My fiancee and I had the clam chowder and the soup of the day which was a vegetable creme soup. The clam chowder was a bit salty for my taste. For appetizers, we had the crab cake and the salmon tartare. I was amazed by how light and fresh the crab cake was. The salmon tartare was amazing For mains, my fiancee had the pan seared cod, which was cooked to perfection. It came with a white wine sauce which was delicious. I had the seafood pasta. I have to say that among all the seafood pastas I've tried in different restaurants in Gaspésie, this one has to be one of my favorites. The flavour of the sauce was perfectly balanced and creamy. Good amount of seafood and well cooked. Finally, for dessert we had the amazing molten cake with seasalt caramel on top. Absoluty delicious. Also really enjoyed that mermaid tail design on the plate as you can see on the picture 🤣. Overall, pretty satisfied with my meal and definitely one of my favorites...
