Service:

Owner (maskless) started off by loudly coughing near the service window. We were outdoors, whatever. Not a huge deal.

After handing us our meals, he felt entitled to aggressively question us on whether we had been vaccinated and whether we were planning on receiving a booster shot. He got argumentative with us when we calmly told him we'd already had our shots (none of his business). Implored us to "read the studies" on the link between COVID vaccines and myocarditis and expressed anti-vax opinions as we walked away from him.

If the owner is so concerned about protecting the health of his customer's hearts, I suggest he reflect on the wisdom of operating a diner that primarily serves fried food.

Food:

$13 cheeseburger was wildly mediocre and contained barely a 1/4 pound of meat. Overpriced. Fries in the poutine were very hard, few curds on top. Even had the owner not thrust his political beliefs on us, still would not return to this establishment based on the pricing and quality...

Don’t blink cause you might miss it. We thought it was closed but the sign at the road said otherwise - so glad we didn’t drive away! Awesome homemade burger - fantastic crust on it and super flavourful.
