Had a couple children looking for pizza for supper & being from 2.5 hours out of town, this place was recommended. Called from about half an hour out of town and placed order for pepperoni, bacon, black and green olives with a female who promptly put me on hold for almost 10 minutes before taking my order, which I understood being right at supper time, no worries. Waited about 20 more minutes once we’d arrived and paid for the pizza, just hoping it’s worth the wait! They even provided paper plates, napkins and utensils if needed. One of my girls asked if she could eat the dough ball that was in the middle of the pizza but, it turned out to be rock hard and made noise when tapped on the table. A couple bites into the pizza we realized that there weren’t any green olives but they were there on the invoice. Tried to check at the cash to see if they could rectify the mishap but the girl didn’t acknowledge me at all, no eye contact, no “be with you in a minute” or anything so I waited a few more minutes and then called out to another girl and asked her if there was a manager that I could speak with and she promptly called to the three men making pizza to say that “she wants to speak to a manager”. One of them came over with another looking closely on. He asked what he could do for me and I mentioned that I’d paid for green olives but they weren’t on my pizza so, what could be done to rectify this. He suggested giving me a credit for the next time I placed an order but since I don’t live local I asked if they have any green olives that we could have. They did, and provided a large container for us to share and they offered complimentary drinks from the cooler. Yummy pizza, don’t touch the dough balls though, quality management and nice environment. Will definitely...
Read moreAlways been tempted to try this place. The sign lists pizza, sub sandwiches, shawarma etc… I had to stop at metro the other day for some grocery and parked in front of Milano pizza. It was lunch so I figured I would try it. When you walk into a place that lists foods like shawarma and giros but find the spits empty, no shawarma then you wonder if it was a bad day for them. Th place is actually dark and not very inviting. Anyway, I went for a sub instead. The list on the big board had several sandwiches and one was club sub. So I ordered one. You can’t really see how they prepare it like you do at subway but I got a glimpse when the young lady behind the counter started. She took four of what I thought were the thinnest pieces of meat and layer them on the bread then added very flimsy looking pieces of bacon, added lots of cheese and put in the pizza oven. Several minutes later she took it out added some veggies, lettuce and tomato and it was done. With the drink, it cost about $18.00(wow). It was probably the worst sub I ever had. Couldn’t taste any of the so called turkey meat slices and definitely no bacon, just lots of cheese and veggies, it could’ve passed for a vegetarian sandwich. Many problems here. The board simply said club sandwich but didn’t show any of the ingredients although they do say they add cheese and veggies to all their sandwiches, but, really, where’s the meat? The price I thought was really high for what you’re getting. All in all, I guess I can say, not the place for a sub sandwich, or shawarma or giros, maybe I’ll try the pizza next time, but...
Read moreRecommended by a friend who hadn't eaten there in a year, we got take out - 3 shawarma platters and what I thought was going to be 5 falafel patties and some tahini sauce and an order of fries for my friend's kid. The falafel came as a sandwich which was a big surprise, and the chicken shawarma platters were truly awful. The chicken was so dry it was extremely unpleasant to eat. I was very hungry so ate half and threw the rest out. The potatoes were cold and the garlic sauce tasted like vinegar mayonnaise. Awful! The salad was fresh and lovely, but the rest of the platter was a huge fail, IMO. The service was really slow and I don't know why because there were 4 people working on our order and a total of 7 employees working there at the time. The falafel sandwich was pretty good though, but this is what I have to say about restaurants offering more than one style of food - pick ONE and do it well. I'm sorry we didn't order pizza because I think it would have been more pleasant to eat than the shawarma. I feel like I...
