We love North Folk for their gelato, and coffee. The cookies are great for the kids. Great atmosphere and vibe as well.

I ordered for my dad's 60th birthday. First off, it was beautifully decorated, and a perfect size for the party we had. It looked delicious. We cut into it, and everyone commented on how great the icing was...however the bottom half of the cake was very dry, almost stale tasting, while the upper half of the cake was dry as well. Everyone picked through their piece to eat it with icing, which was very delicious.

I'm not sure if the cake was made very far in advance, or if it is normally this way, but it was almost inedible, and I thought you should know.

I'm so happy to see the shop attempting to undertake the cake baking in town, after losing our bake baker and hope to have a better experience in the future, as I will always support local.

I did email the shop directly, but did not receive a response about our cake issues.

Looking forward to receiving a reply to my...

Overall a very pleasant visit - coffee was decent though it was more a latte than a flat white but I enjoyed it none the less so no complaints there really. I had a muffin as well which was unfortunately quite dry - just a little over baked. I found the seating area down the stairs fairly comfortable and child friendly for my young son but a bit bright as there's quite strong office like lights down there and it was a sunny day anyway so they probably weren't all needed. I have a thing about that so most people probably wouldn't even notice to be fair. On a different day would perhaps have been a 5 star experience and I'd like to go again and try more of the food to get a better idea soon. Service was very friendly and efficient and staff seemed happy which is always a credit to a place - Perth is a lovely town to visit generally as...

May days filled with sunshine after a very long winter set the scene for patio fever. Heading to Kingston from Ottawa my daughter and I decided to stop for a quick snack at Norfolk Cafe's sidewalk patio. The shop is delightful, brimming with locally made products, artists' work, baked goodies and oh, that ice cream! After serious consultation with the ice cream specialist we settled on a raspberry in a cup and a unicorn cone, and split a large chocolate chip homestyle cookie. It was the perfect combo and a nice change from a popular franchise's offerings. The ice cream was creamy, flavourful and every mouthful was savoured. The cookie was the perfect accompaniment as we enjoyed our snack watching Perthians and tourists stroll by. Very much enjoyed our food and our break in the early spring sunshine. Will...

Stopped here for breakfast during a road trip pit stop. Our meals were great (avocado toast, western breakfast bagel, kettle boiled bagel with nutella, hot chocolate, coffe), while the staff were very friendly. Also liked the decor and Christmas decorations. In addition to their cafe food, they also sell an eclectic group of items, like honey, hot sauce, and Kombucha, as well as a good assortment of baked goods. Would be happy to come back.
