The Hot Wok — Restaurant in Perth

Unfortunately didn't have an incredible experience here. I ordered two spring rolls and a large Tom Yum soup for pickup during my lunch at work. Once I'd picked it up, brought it back to work and sat down to eat, the soup didn't have any noodles in it, which I've always known Tom Yum soup to have, so I call and she tells me that only the large comes with noodles. I happened to have ordered the large, yet no noodles. She says I ordered a small, her mistake, which she tried right away to correct and deliver me the correct soup, and said the driver will call once here. I didn't receive a phone call, so an hour and a half later, I call back and she says the driver was here, called me, no answer, and left. I didn't receive any call, so I said can you please send them back. She says yes and then then tells me the price difference between the small and large. I had assumed I'd paid for the large since it was $17 already and I had only got a small amount of food. Long story short, I asked her to forget about it because my lunch was long over, and I had eaten something else. Not entirely impressed by the situation and the amount of $ that was spent just to have to eat something else.. The soup was good though, I will give them that (spring rolls not so much), but I will not be ordering again...

I am not local to the area, so I really didn't know where to grab food, but I decided on hot wok, and let me tell you this was an absolute score! I had the Tom Kha Gai soup and the Vietnamese Spring Rolls. The soup was the best soup I have had in a long time. I was in soup heaven. Brother was good and flavourful, the chicken pieces were nice (no weird bits), and the noodles were perfect. I'm glad i got the large because I LOVED this soup. The spring rolls were crispy to perfection and the filling of shrimp and pork was so flavourful. If I didn't live so far away, this would be a regular spot for me. I cannot say enough how much I loved this. The service was patient and polite while I decided on an order, and the food was out in good time and definitely hot and fresh. I recently had one bad experience for placing phone order for pick up. For pickup order Hot wok staff asked me details of credit card including CVV and I gave them details of my Visa gift card which was the only transaction on my visa gift card and within a week the remaining amount of my gift card was stolen thru miscellaneous transaction from US which was over $350. I never shared my gift card info with anyone except Hot wok staff over the phone during pandemic. I called to couple of banks and found that gift cards are usually with lower security but no one can get exact information of card unless card is lost or I shared information. I am going to report to police but meanwhile I would suggest to be aware of giving phone orders especially with restaurants they ask CVV number of your...
