Daisy Restaurant — Restaurant in Peterborough

They ran out of food by 6 pm on New Year's Eve. My family and I planned to order take-out for NYE, so we called in the early afternoon to check their business hours. I was told they would be accepting take-out orders until 9 pm, presumably perfect. At 4 pm I called and asked if we could pre-order our New Year's Eve dinner for 7 pm; they told us they couldn't guarantee the food would be ready for when we wanted it, and recommend that I call back around 6. When I did, their phone seemed to be unplugged. After calling 4-5 more times I finally got through, and they informed me that the kitchen closed at 5:30, and that they had run out of food. They ran out of food, on New Year’s Eve. If thats not bad planning, I don’t know what is. They have the experience of being in the same location for years, every New Year’s Eve. You would think they would know what to expect, and would plan and prepare accordingly. Literally running out food before 6pm is...

The food is fantastic, I order from this restaurant every time I get chinese. Every experiwnce has been great except for the last time. I left them my phone number to call when they arrived as every other time I have done. The last delivery driver I got was so rude. I didn't pay attention to his name as I didn't see these messages until afterwards. My son was on the phone with his grandmother and the guy trued calling but obviously missed it, so I understand being frustrated but this was beyone it. Since I cannot post the screen shot I'll write word for word what was said to me.

Pleasant staff, reasonable prices but the portions weren't as large as I'm used to from another Chinese restaurant that unfortunately went out of business. The food bothered my ulcer extremely though and I ended up giving away 2 entire dishes to neighbours. I won't be buying any Chinese food again and this place is just ok overall. Never had Chinese food make me feel that unwell. The food quality seemed ok but I won't be back. I found out the neighbours thought the 2 dishes were very good and they devoured them for 1 meal on the day I gave those to them. Two people ate them.
