Went for our wedding anniversary. What a complete disaster. Our waitress named Janice was terrible. I don’t think she spoke more than five words to us the entire meal. My food was cold. I took three bites of my entire plate and set it aside. It sat there my entire meal and she never noticed. She did make an attempt to ask us if everything was OK on the fly. She never stopped. She said every is everything OK on the way by. I was taking a drink so I couldn’t answer her and she flew so fast past me that I didn’t have a chance to answer her. When she did come, I told her that my asparagus was cold right from the get-go. By the way, the asparagus is an upgrade .The butter wouldn’t even melt on it and her answer was I will let them know. She then asked if we wanted to take out containers and I said yes, I want two of them. We waited at least 10 minutes for one. And it was brought to us by the assistant manager who I complained to about the cold food. For some reason, unknown to me or anyone else, she went in the kitchen and ordered me more asparagus while I was on my way out the door. Seriously? She brought one container. Even though I told her I wanted more. It was a complete screwup from the word go. I don’t know what they were thinking, but they ran out of buns twice. And that was actually the only thing I ate out of my meal. I’ve worked in the food business for 30 years. Worst waitress I have ever come across in my life. If she worked for me, she wouldn’t have a job. Also, the managers were circling all night, but never actually walked down the aisle passed our table . Had he walked by I would have called him over. Actually, I shouldn’t have had to call anybody over they should’ve realized I was not eating my food and stop to ask me why. That’s what should’ve happened. That’s what would’ve happened if I was serving the table or my staff was serving the table. I would’ve realized immediately that my customer was not eating her food . Then the assistant manager tells me she’s having the asparagus made for me to go. If she had informed me that that’s what she was doing in the first place I would’ve told her not to bother. Needless to say it was a terrible experience. Ruined my day. Yes they did reimburse me the money for my dinner, but I didn’t care about that point if they did. I actually went out and sat in the car and let my husband pay the bill. I was so ticked off. They didn’t have a clue.Won’t be back.
I received an answer from red lobster asking me to go to Facebook and send them a private message. What for??? You didn’t get a hint from this review about how bad it was. I am not going to Facebook and putting any more effort into this . It literally says above my name on the complaint that it was Peterborough store. Why are you asking me?? No, I will not answer anymore questions and no you cannot make...
Read moreWas a birthday dinner for my daughter-in-law. It started out great--we all (8 of us) got our drinks, followed by our meals. When the server returned with 3 more drinks, she spilled 2 of them on the table, the floor and in my purse, which was on the floor under the table. She apologized and I told her "accidents happen". Rather than offering to clean up the spill, she handed me a pile of napkins, then continued on with her night. My purse was saturated with wine spritzer and ice and the floor was also covered with ice and the straws/garnish that were in the drinks. I emptied my purse of its contents onto the table, as everything in it was soaked. Not once did anyone offer me any assistance. I finally asked another employee if I could speak to the manager. When the manager came, she and the server argued with us about what had happened. I showed her the ice that was still on the floor and explained that my purse was soaked. She then asked me what I thought she should do. Baffled by this, I asked her what she should do. She offered to make me a new meal to go that I would have to pay for--I declined. I ended up leaving with the contents of my purse in a cloth grocery bag that my daughter brought me from her car. What should have been a great night celebrating a birthday ended up in disaster, and the server and manager did very little to make it better. Red Lobster you failed miserably in dealing with this situation. Spills happen and I can accept that--but I can't accept how your manager and...
Read moreIt’s been close to a decade since I’d gone to a Red Lobster, my last experience was mediocre and overpriced. But I’ve been seeing posts online about a new CEO, a revamp of the menu, and a new seafood boil. On a whim, my boyfriend and I decided to make the 1.5 hour drive to the Peterborough Red Lobster to try the new Crabfest menu and the seafood boil. I could not be happier with our decision to give Red Lobster another chance. To start with, our server, Addy was amazing. She is such a kind and genuine person, she made us feel so welcome and comfortable. You could really tell that she loves what she does and has such a passion for the food service industry. After chatting with her we learned that this was her first shift back after surgery and she’s been working there for 35 years, I honestly feel lucky to have come in when she was back because she made our experience so much better. The food was also great, we did sangria and shared the seafood boil and an extra order of crab legs. The food came out in a very timely manner, everything was seasoned nicely and tasted great. Breaking into the crab was such a fun and messy experience, a lot of laughs were shared and we had just a great time. Overall this was one of the best experiences I’ve had at a restaurant and I will 100% be returning. I hope that when I return it will be when Addy is working because she’s phenomenal and really made the entire experience special. Thank you Addy and Red Lobster Peterborough for such a fantastic dinner...
