Today I had a craving for Nachos. After scouring Skip, I landed on the Signature Wing Nachos from St.Louis. Knowing full well that prepared Nachos wouldn't travel well, I phoned in an order for pick up at 4:50pm. I was told they would be ready in 12 to 15 minutes. I left work, on my lunch break, to drive ACROSS THE ROAD for these Nachos. I arrived at 5pm and was told they weren't quite ready. No problem, I had a lovely conversation with the lone patron at the bar having a nice cold beer.
My Nachos finally came out and I said goodbye to my new friend and left to eat my dinner. I arrived back at work after 5:15 and opened my Nachos. They were a soggy, mushy lump of what looked like SUPER greasy and over sauced Nachos. There wasn't a crispy nacho on the tray. After tax, I paid $27 for these Nachos, so of course I went right back to St.Louis.
I explained the mishap and requested a refund. My Nachos craving was over at this point. I was told they CANT give refunds. They actually said "we aren't provisioned to give refunds". I was told I could have store credit, but, wait for this, ONLY FOR THE EXACT SAME ITEM!! What?! So, you ruined the Nachos, but that's all I can try now at your store?? Nope!
I asked to speak to the manager and was handed a phone and a guy named Dean was on the other end. He told me there was nothing he could do, and it makes total sense to him that he can't give a refund and can only give credit for the same item. Yeah Dean, that makes total sense. NOT! This is your GM St.Louis??? Ouch!!
I begrudgingly said that I would take the credit at which point a notebook was pulled out and I was asked my name and phone number. No gift card, no certificate or ticket..a notebook!! So, now, im supposed to go in and say "yeah, Linda wrote my name and number in a book because I have a credit for one item on your menu"?!?!?! Lmao, not a chance!!!!
Ultimately St.Louis stole $30 from me and made it so I can't even go back! I don't trust they would even prepare my food without being gross. I will never EVER again eat at a St.Louis Bar and Grill. The young girls behind the bar were cute but just serving, not their problem. What I assume was the key holder, Linda, was understanding and I get she's just doing her job. But Dean, this is a shining example of horrible management. I'd like to mention that the entire time I was speaking with Dean, his or someone's child, was being extremely loud in the background. Very professional Dean 👏. Dean had an opportunity to fix a very easy mistake. Instead he lost a slew of Peterborough business..over Nachos. Sad. Myself, my coworkers, my family and friends...none of us will be back. To any location.

We enter around 6pm on a Friday, there are 3 skip drivers waiting on food and most tables are full. After a short wait we are seated (party of 2) and served each a drink. The restaurant is clearly struggling with the number of customers, and lack of staff. We ordered a Caesar salad to split between the two of us followed by two wing poutines. 15 minutes goes past and the salad arrives, we order more drinks, but we don't have cutlery. 10 minutes goes by, the flies have enjoyed more of our meal than we have by this point. The older couple behind us is upset as they explain they have been waiting over an hour. His wife leaves and he cancelled their food. When he is given the debit machine to pay for their drinks, it's battery dies. The sever leaves to get another debit machine, he walks out without paying, clearly extremely displeased with the service he received. His wife returned to pay for their food. As this was happening, two other tables walked out, we still didn't have cutlery, and a skip driver walked out. (Roughly 45 minutes has passed) We are seconds away from walking out also when our food arrives. We are given cutlery but our salad has decomposed by this time. We ask the sever what happened and she explained the kitchen manager and front of house manager both quit as well as a few of their kitchen staff. Because of this, she has has to jump in and out of the kitchen to help cook on top of dealing with all the displeased customers. We pick at our food for another 10 minutes when the first server who took our drink order returns. She asks how is everything and clearly remembered at that moment we ordered more drinks a long time ago saying she'll get them for us right away. We turned them down not wanting to spend anymore time or money. By the time we paid and left it was 7:50.
A message for the FOH: I understand you guys were severely understaffed, you did your best and this review is not a reflection of your value, you should all get a large raise.
A message for the BOH: Although I wasn't able to eat the salad, the poutine was good and presented well. You should ask for a raise as your position is clearly in demand.

Read moreUsually like coming here but the service is now terrible. Apparently there was only 1 server who was also the bartender. The server outside had a few tables and did not even help the server inside who had people sitting at the bar and many tables. Our server was overwhelmed I don't know if she just wasn't thinking or is usually inefficient but at one point went back to drop off her tray after giving us drinks and then came back and took our order. She never came over to see how we were doing and my husband had got the all you can eat wings. He waited for the server to take another order of wings and because it took so long, only got one more order. Just so happened these young men came in about 30min after us and somehow had 2 orders of the all you can eat wings and recieved their 2nd round not long after my husband did. For some reason she kept on asking them how they were doing/how their food was and if they needed something she would go right away to ring it in, but decided to not pay attention to some of her other tables; so much that we had the hostess/young lady cleaning tables, ask us what we were waiting for and took our orders for our kids ice cream that my kids also sat and waited for over 20min for. By this time my husband had finished his 2nd round of wings and we were STILL waiting for our server. We finally saw our server at the end when we asked for the bill and she asked us if it was all together...shows how much she was around our table as we came in as a family of 4.
