This was my usual spot until recently. I work nights, so it's convenient to get a couple treats before work. Over the past year, the service has been decently fast, fairly accurate and what you would expect from a normal Timmies. However, something has changed, and different nights have different results.
I don't know for sure what changed, but whoever the preparer is, they are inconsistent. I've had thumb prints in my donut, which is clearly from when the person grabbed it from the display and put it in the bag to deliver to the drive through window. My coffee has, on multiple occasions, been more or less milky than other times. Isn't the milk/cream done through a machine!? I've even had my coffee cup come wet on the outside, which causes the paper to start peeling away as I hold it.
I get that speed is something that these establishments strive for, but that shouldn't be at the expense of quality. I would gladly wait an extra five minutes to get a higher quality product.
I come frequently enough that I know who is who (visually) and what to expect. The middle age guy on drive through with the glasses is great taking the orders, polite and direct. I almost never have problems when he's there. I usually see him on weekends and the latter half of the week. It seems like most of the issues happen when he's not there or not preparing the order. The new guys are decently fast, but I've noticed a higher frequency of messed up orders with them...they're also a bit deadpan, but I digress.
Anyways, I don't really want to get anyone in trouble, but whatever changed over the past couple months was not for the better. I don't usually return to complain because I'd be there another 10 minutes. Plus, it's a hassle having to deal with the people asking for money at the drive through menu.
Get the glasses guy to train the other guys on prep, lol.

I use the app a lot and activated the special at the Monaghan rd location. It was the Breakfast sandwich, hash brown and coffee for $6.00. I specifically told the young lady that took my order what special I was asking for as it was on my app and was activated. She informed me that the biscuits were no longer available and it would have to be an English muffin. Not a big deal And I told her it was the special for $6.00 on the App. I Was in the drive through came up to the widow and got my order and behold there was no hash brown. So instead of holding up the line I parked my car and walked in to talk to someone about it. That’s when I met a very rude lady. It started ok but she then said I had to specify what special when ordering which I told her I did and she walked away from me to talk to a manager. I said i just wanted my hash brown and that the price was wrong. Not a big deal it’s only a buck. She went back and spoke to the manager and gave me attitude so I asked who were the franchise owners. I said to her I knew a few. She replied look it up and said I had an attitude and walked away? Instead of arguing I walked out and said I will be contacting them. The funny thing is I knew Brian when he owned it years ago and he was a great guy but I was not sure if the family still owned it after his passing or if it was corporate. All i I wanted to do was contact the owners directly and not go through social media. I’m not a fan of google reviews but this is what I’m for forced to do. I know retail is difficult these days and I’m not looking to get anyone in trouble but there was no reason for her attitude at all. So the old adage is true I don’t get mad I just go away. Read moreService is really well I came in on Sunday September 28th the young girl on front counter no name tag wears glasses she was very friendly and smiling she made my day got talking to me about the Toronto maple leafs saying they are going to win this year also she got my order correct I came in from drive thru my coffee was made wrong at drive thru so i parked and came in I explained to her that my coffee was made wrong and she apologized and remade my coffee as the coffee was getting remade there was another girl yelling at her and yelling at the young guy that was grabbing my bake goods she was swearing at the young girl who remade my order telling her she’s in the wrong for remaking my coffee she made the young girl dump my coffee out telling the young girl they they don’t remake coffee’s the young girl still remade my coffee again when the young girl and guy was getting yelled I felt so bad for them they are doing their job and getting yelled at not cool something needs to be done.
