Went to the Pickering location on Sunday July 27th around 7:30pm to get food for 3 people. When my wife and I walked in there was a large group sitting and eating/waiting for food and another gentleman waiting for his order. We walked up to the counter with no line and I ordered the first 2 parts of the order. My wife then after looking at the menu said to the cashier “I just want fries and chicken on top.” The cashier then asked my wife what sauces she wanted with no mention of any other toppings. After we waited 25 mins for 3 items. A rice bowl, a wrap and fries with chicken on top. In which during that time 2 other people came in and ordered then got their food and left before me. I finally got up and walked to the front where she was getting my food ready and asked me if it was to go. I said yes gathered my food to leave and the guy did say to me “sorry for the wait”. I’ll give him that much. A little frustrated by the wait I just said no problem and left. As we started to drive something told me to check the food. When I opened my wife’s fries with chicken on top I noticed a whole half of a container of salad, pickles, turnips and other stuff we never asked for. My wife specifically asked for just fries with chicken on top and added 2 sauces. I then called the location and asked them why we had a half of a container of salad and veggies? The guy who made the food was saying that’s how it comes. But I told him that we already asked her for a specific order and that if we knew it had all that for $16 we would have said no and got something else. He then said to me if I come back he will give me what I asked for at no charge and I can keep the other food. So we went back and I went in to get the order I actually asked for the first time and he was acting like he wanted to argue with me. I was trying to explain to him that we already asked for just fries with chicken on top why would we have to be more clear? He was arguing back and sweating profusely all over his arms and head while standing over the food prep area and open food containers and the sweat was dripping off him down into everything below. At this point I was disgusted and told him to just keep his food and went out to the car and got the rest of the food and brought it back inside placing it on the counter. I told him to keep his food and walked out. He was pleading with me “brother, brother come back”. But I didn’t want any food that he was sweating into and at this point didn’t even care about the $51.55 I paid. Just a complete lack of customer service, cleanliness and food safety. I definitely won’t be going back there cause if a person will openly drop sweat over food while arguing with you over a mistake that was made on their end. Be very careful where you eat. Another place crossed...

The Saj shawarma is as simple and straightforward as they come, just meat some creamy garlic and pickles, that's it! the design of the sandwich is meant to elevate the flavor of the meat its filled with! And adding toppings other than what it comes with masks a lot of the flavor of the meat but to each their own and Shawarma Royale does give you the options of adding more toppings if that's the way you like to eat your shawarma.

Read moreFood was meh. I got a queen chicken shawarma, took 15 minutes for the two guys to make it, there were 2 other people who had ordered before I did which means it was slow service. The wrap was just meh 🫤 first if you’re going to put the price of a chicken wrap for $13 then maybe put some chicken in it yeah? There was on a guesstimate about maybe 8-10 small tiny shreds of chicken in a wrap that’s about a foot long. There was mostly veggies and wayyy way too much sauce. The wrap tasted like they buttered it then grilled it which I didn’t like because the wrap then had a butter taste to it… I felt a little ripped off to be honest, there was very little meat and the wrap looked like it was ran over by a car, that’s how flat it was probably from not putting much toppings in the wrap then pressing the wrap down on the grill. I came here because I was in the area and didn’t know it well but i don’t think I’d come back and order here again. The guys who worked there were nice. Washrooms were both flooded… word to the manager, don’t be so damn stingy with the meat topping, if you’re going to be stingy don’t call it a chicken...
