Vera's Burger Shack — Restaurant in Pitt Meadows

Go to Costco instead!!! We went to order for the first time from Veras and chose on line. We chose pick up in store and filled out the order on our phone. When paying, it told us that it was using Doordash. We decided to keep the order in the app, but drove there to order as we were confused why we were picking up but using Doordash. When ordering I asked the lady why they used Door dash for pick up and she said they did not. We checked again when I got home, and they do. I asked her specific question if I could order chicken on its own, and NOT get fries and she clearly said NO, you had to get fries with your order. I even told her i wanted to order just chicken for the poutine and she said i could not do that. And the door dash pick up ap also says the chicken came with fries. So I told her I would do that, for the chicken and the burger. I also ordered two $12 poutine. When we got the closed bag order home, there were no fries for the chicken meals I ordered, and the poutine containers were half full. The burger ( also no fries) was ok but my son said he would not get it again. For $60 for 9 strips, two half orders of poutine, and one burger, was crazy. The service was deplorable and the lady serving me clearly did not listen to what I was asking. Do yourself a favor and drive to Costco for poutine and chicken, and a huge pizza for HALF...

Wiped down our table ourself, hallway to rest room looks like its not seen a washcloth in a min. Seems they only had 2 people working today.

Was excited by the menu photo - didn't live up to the picture. The egg was overdone and rubbery sat on the bottom of the bun. So no egg yolk breaking over my patty. The onions were maybe 5 or 6 small strips very overdone /dehydrated - not caramelized like I thought they'd be. Meat was gray throughout, not seasoned and tasted like it had been frozen.

Daughter said her burger had no flavor / tasted like chicken nuggets.

Fries had not been seasoned and of course they have no salt or pepper at the table.

For 1 meal (pawer and fries + fountain drink) 1 burger and 1 strawberry shake we paid $39

We ate our meal and thanked the staff but what a weird burger experience. Defs doesn't live up to their self proclaimed burger of the year comments. If you're driving and hungry for a burger, Fatburger isn't far. And offers a never frozen smash burger that is far better. And the price points about the same...

Been craving a decent burger for a while, something above the usual fast-food options. My daughter and I were finishing some shopping at the mall so decided to try this Vera's as it had been some time.

The only real saving graces with this visit were the food and friendly service. We each ordered their Monday special, Canuck burger combo. Burgers were tasty but not stellar by any stretch and, like the fries, they seemed quite fresh. Tables and dining area weren't overly clean and the ice dispensing spout on the self-serve soft drink machine had MOULD on it. Decor was a bit dated and looked worn, and the complete-orange motif gave a bit of a dreary feel. Washrooms felt about the same and weren't overly clean, either, and the soap dispenser was empty. The clerk was friendly and seemed to appreciate our business. So sad that this place was empty, mind you it was 6pm on a Monday evening.
