Café Marmelade 2 — Restaurant in Pointe-Claire

My review for Cafe Marmalade isn't about the food but the experience.

Notwithstanding the owner's slightly indifferent attitude towards me (while overly friendly with other customers), I decided to try this place out due to their focus on organic, healthy options. While waiting for my order, I realized why. When she spoke with one of her customers, her conversation had racial connotations and anti-immigration sentiments that at one point were made loudly by looking directly at me. I wasn't even going to review this place after this experience.

However, having been a long time resident of the west island supporting many businesses, I am quite disappointed that these types of attitudes still prevail. I'm writing to communicate to this business that such prejudicial...

Great food! My parents have used them a few times for catering & it really was amazing.

I love that it's a local mom & pop shop but the food is of really high quality with a unique and healthy twist. My favorite thing to eat is the Salmon Gravlax & Lemon Confit sandwich. Although, I wish they would have their special 3 course menus a little bit more often.

Thankfully, it's also just a few blocks away from my childhood favorite ice cream place too!

Which reminds me, their once a year apple pie is actually my favorite apple pie.

This was our first time at this place but we were impressed! We were made to feel like long time customers from the get go. The very friendly girl at the counter took her time to make sure we would have something to our taste, and it was a very great lunch. The wrap and coffee as well as the service were outstanding. We will become long time customers and will return every time we go to Pointe Clare village. This Snack bar was clean well appointed and very welcoming. This place is a revisit on my list.
