Rock'N Deli CF Fairview — Restaurant in Pointe-Claire

I was an early adopter of this location and frequented them several times when they first opened. Yesterday I passed by for the first time in a while and was very disappointed in two critical changes. First, the poutine that came with my smoke meat sandwich combo, which I paid extra for, was tiniest poutine. This a big change from the large poutine they used to offer when they first opened. The fries also seemed substantially different than the type of fries they used to use. Second, and this is critical, the prices have been hugely jacked up from when they first opened. Almost $30 for a sandwich and poutine from a shopping mall's fast food hall, insane. I know prices everywhere have been increasing, but when you jack your prices AND reduce the size of the meal, you...

So on July 27th, it was a toss-up between this place and another one in the food court. We should have stuck with the other one!

Waited almost 10 minutes while the lady behind the counter slowly prepared two poutines for people ahead of us. She quickly glanced up at the line (and us) and looked back down, no acknowledgement, not a "be right with you...". Nothing. Eventually two guys appeared out of the back, one who couldn't have prepared a sandwich any slower. Perhaps remove the ear bud from your ear and get off the phone when serving customers!

Food: Curly fries were cold, no surprise based on how long the 2 sandwiches took to prepare. Terrible service. It's not a difficult job, provide staff training, or fire them and get some decent...

I was a bit disappointed that the smoke meat arrived cold, the drinks were leaking all over and the rest of the food was lukewarm. The food itself is average, a bit basic and on the blander side for my personal taste. Even though the smoke meat was tender, it was lacking in flavours and fat. The wings tasted pretty good with their sauces but was too dry, maybe due to cooling. The poutine had alright flavours but the fries were mushy and lukewarm, the texture didn't feel too good. I would say the portions are also a bit small for the prices they are charging. My favourite part of this meal was the seeing the boxes they used to serve the food.
