Got delivery so this is purely about the food.

The prices are more affordable, especially for the egg benedicts. The price and first 3 bites was enough to make me think this would be a nice place to regularly eat from.

The smoked salmon benny is delicious. The hollandaise sauce is rich and creamy. I don't normally like hollandaise sauce. It's not tart, so if you want the taste of lemon that cuts through, this isn't it. Eggs good, fresh avocado, and pretty good potatoes. I was hoping for wedges, but the diced potatoes were cooked well--crisp but not overdone. The English muffins were a bit too toasted. Bad picture of the egg, but I got easy poached, the yolk was good and runny.

I can't tell if the smoked salmon was made in-house. Most places don't, but if it was I'm impressed because it was absolutely delicious. The smoked salmon was delicate--not the firmer saltier type I usually prefer--it was much better than the soft smoked salmons I've had before. It was smoked thoroughly and that reflects well in the texture and and taste. The texture was even throughout, instead of squishier in the middle. The amount of it is decent, can't pile it on while keeping the price low. It's a good for it's cost. I do wish there were more capers though.

The smoked duck omlette was good. I sampled the meat. Duck is nicely smoked, meatier taste than I expected. A good flavour, the peppered edge does permeate into the meat. Rather than an omlette, it was rolled egg. Husband said it was plain (as it isn't filled) but it was good. He's not one for descriptions--noted it was soft, fluffier, still savoury(?)

Ultimately the high quality of how everything was cooked is what really makes this place amazing. I assume this is consistent and that's why this place is so very well reviewed. Reminds me of how my family would choose restaurants; we'd follow the chef if they left and started cooking for a different...

Great food. Terrible service.

It was our first time there and we brought our 1 year old. We were served by two ladies. The first server was very nice and smiled at us and said hello to us and brought us our waters. The rest of the time we were served by the other server that was not friendly at all. She did not say hi to us. Not a single smile. Did not say hi to our son. We told her it was our first time but she didn’t seem welcoming at all. She took our order and brought it out with very little to no communication. No one ever came by to ask us if we needed anything. It is challenging to go to a restaurant with a small toddler, and it would have been so nice if someone came by to ask if we needed napkins or even a friendly face. I wanted to order more food but no one ever came. Our server just came at the end when our food was finished and before even taking our plates she came with the machine for us to pay. Again she didn’t say anything and acted like my baby wasn’t even there even as he tried talking to her. It felt like she didn’t want us there at all and she wanted us to leave quickly. The place wasn’t busy since there were empty tables and there was still 40 min left till closing time when we finished.

I wish we could have loved this local place but the service made us feel so unwanted at that restaurant. That is a vibe I don’t want when I’m taking my family out for...

I actually am hesitant writing this review, because then they'll become busier than they already are. ......ahhhh what the hell....

Their menu is spectacular. They have all the classic items. All the Fusion items for both breakfast and lunch, and if that's not enough for ya....they have a section where you can make your own design of dishes, and if that still isn't enough to satisfy you...they have a lengthy separate list of side items you can choose from. I mean it was beautiful. I don't think I've ever been turned on by a menu before. .....No, nothing weird....just a bloody awesome menu. ;)

The Make Your Own - Anyone that knows anything about scrambled eggs, knows that they have to be juicy. I asked for soft-scramble and that's what I got. Yummm. Herb potatoes were tasty, seasoned and non-greasy. Artisan Multigrain Sourdough....served with cute little basked of jam and peanut butter and creamed butter (see pic.) Spicy Italian Sausage.....Yummm. French Toast with fresh seasonal fruits. Perfectly cooked. (you'd be surprised how many places don't get French Toast right - raw in the middle and soggy on the outside.)

Service - Everything you could ask for...friendly, professional, attentive.

The Space - Everything you could ask for...bright, clean, chill.

My next brunch out will be there. Again. That's how...

We ordered via a delivery service and were very pleased with the food from PK's Diner. We gave a 5 for atmosphere as we have read reviews stating how comfortable the diner is and therefore had to give a 5 for that reason. We had the Bacon Cheeseburger and Clubhouse sandwich. Both were delicious. My husband said that the burger is one of the best that he has had. The burger was loaded with tomatoes, bacon and onions and he really liked the burger sauce that came with it as well. The bacon was thick and my husband said that the caramelized onions made the burger. I also found my Clubhouse to have been very good also with thick bacon, ham, and a generous amount of grilled chicken. The fries were crispy and the picture with the Clubhouse did not have all the fries that came with the order. We both have left overs for tomorrow. We are always cautiously optimistic when ordering home delivery due to the food not being fresh out of the kitchen. Well, we were so pleased with our meals and will definitely be ordering again. We are looking forward to trying out more items on the menu. Thank you so much PK's.
