I love this place. I've only had takeout twice. The portions are very generous. I usually order the House Special Soup in pho places. I always get a side of brisket because the amount of meat in the dish isin't enough for me. This places is different. I am full from the regular serving of a large bowl of soup. The staff are friendly when I am picking up my order. They don't give me an attitude and expect me to tip for a pickup order (not like some other places I've been.) The restaurant's ambience is very fresh and inviting. It's bright and full of life and appealing for younger crowds to go for lunch time. Sadly no pictures of that. Thank you staff at Mr.Pho for a pleasant experience everytime I drop by to pick up my House Special Soup + extra brisket. If you're wondering who is leaving this review. It's the good looking man wearing the red jacket and Eevee cap! I will be coming back again. Something constructive to note. My broth was slightly watered down during lunch period. I noticed my broth much richer and full of taste during the dead hours. Doesn't affect your 5 stars though. I love you guys! - Josh V

Heard some good things from neighbours about a new Vietnamese pho restaurant in the area and decided to give it a try. Staff are very friendly which earned it an extra star. Portion size. A tad less than everywhere else that I have been, but not the main deal breaker. Food quality… well. Spring roll was dry as ever and not sure what kind of filling they used but tasteless. Fish sauce wasn’t conjured properly and seems like they just used water and a few drops of fish sauce. Broth tasteless as well. We all know pho is all about the quality of the broth! Beef was lacking and of poor quality compared to “all” pho restaurants I have been to. Noodles were over cooked and soggy. Texture was unpleasant. Drinks were all ice and literally gone after 2 sips. All in all based on the food I would give a 2 star, but the owner/server was very nice so gave an extra star. Don’t think we will ever come here again and would not recommend.

Gave the restaurant a try today. The place was extremely busy so we called to order take out. They messed up our order so they had to remake our food from scratch when I was there to pick up. Then they forgot our fish sauce in vermicelli... I was too tired to even go back to pick it up so I made the sauce myself. Portion is smaller than usual vietmanese places in tri cities and their salad roll has mint in it that my daughter spit it right out and refused to take another bite. Sold out of chicken wings when we ordered at 4:30. Flavour is authentic but there are tons of great vietnamese restaurant in this neighborhood so the competition is fierce though. Honest review but will give it another go cause we want to try the vietnamese chicken wings and the place has just opened so I'm sure they will get better at taking orders.

⭐️ 1-Star Review A place I’ll never return to—and I strongly urge others to stay away. Over the past year, my family and I have ordered regularly from this restaurant—probably over $1,500 worth of takeout. The food quality kept declining, but we gave them the benefit of the doubt time and time again. This month alone, I spent $160 trying to give them another chance. What a mistake. We first dined in for Mother’s Day, hoping for a better experience. The service was mediocre at best—maybe a 6/10—but we still left a generous $12 tip on a $70 bill. I returned a week later for a dine-in soup and three chicken sandwiches to go. I asked for extra sate chili sauce, which any pho lover knows makes or breaks the dish. They brought a tiny container no bigger than half an inch. I used the leftover from my soup, thinking nothing of it. That was apparently a crime in their eyes. Worse—the soup smelled like old, wet boots. The server dropped the order and never returned to check on me. I left no tip out of sheer disappointment. Today was my last visit. Same experience: no follow-up, cold attitude, and zero hospitality. This time, the owner himself served me. I was about to order more food to go, but his demeanor was arrogant and off-putting, so I decided not to. When I got up to pay, he came to my table and confronted me about “taking extra sauce” during my previous visit. He said next time, I’d be charged $7 for using the leftover chili sauce from my soup. I was shocked. What’s worse? That sauce—customers often dip their spoons in it—and I’ve seen it taken back and reused for other tables. That’s not just unsanitary. It’s disgusting and unsafe. The sarcastic smirks from the staff while I was eating only added to the discomfort. Honestly, it made me question if my food had been tampered with. That’s how unwelcome they made me feel. Between my wife and me, we have 70+ family members in Port Coquitlam, and thousands of followers across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. You can be sure they’ll all hear about this. Dirty kitchen, rude service, questionable hygiene, and disrespectful attitude. This isn’t just a place with bad service—it’s a place that makes you regret walking through the door. Save your money. Protect your health. Spend your time somewhere...
