All you can eat (ayce) for me is to eat what I want and how much I want. so when it works for me, it is worth doing again.
There is some variety here so I was surprised. There were a few different sushi rolls without being loaded with rice and tasted as it ought to. Roast beef was available - the tray was empty and not refilled while I was there at 7 pm so if that is what you want get there early.
I wanted Chinese. To be smart, sample to see what you want more of on subsequent trips.
For me, the experience was just short being on the mark. The battered squid, the muscles, the prawns were nice but short of seasoning (was any garlic ginger etc used? It is impossible please everyone, but for me it wasn't really chinese...). Deep fried chicken, prawns, pork (with different glazes ie honey/garlic, sweet and sour), all done tender but too heavy on batter (as many ayce places do) for my liking. The chicken wings were nice and tender and tasty but I was surprised I did not load up on them later. Someone on their review said there was so much msg used, it makes you feel full. That would explain my not being a pig on the wings, but don't know if that is true nor if a lot of msg is used as I usually feel it.
The soups were placed not at the front as I would have expected, and not seeing any guessed there was none. They were next to the mashed potato and gravy. The hot sour ought to have more depth to it, the wonton were huge and tasty, but should have more texture with diced shrimp/waterchestnut...
It wasn't bad, but it could have been good. Parking is available. Food kept coming out while I was there but you always want to be near the start for availability...
Read moreThe place is very old, dirty and outdated. The food used to be decent, I don't know what happened to the place. It has went so downhill. Race was cold and hard, found hair in our chicken Chow main. We told 3 different people that the milk in the ice cream machine was sour and curdled, not one person went over and checked the machine, and I watched several people serve up ice cream from that machine. I took myself and 5 children for a dinner, and it cost me a $150 all kids under the age of 14. And the cost wasn't an issue if the food had been good.. Save yourself The trip, the money and the time do not eat here. I watched another lady complain about hair in her plate. And they argued with her and tried to say that it was her hair. Might I add, That is not how you treat your customers. After seeing that, I especially will never be back. And just, you know China cup employees, it's not a coincidence that our food and the other people's food. On the other side of the restaurant, both had food...
Read moreAfter reading reviews this afternoon my wife and I figured we would try the buffet. We saw a lot of 5 star reviews so we figured it should be decent. I ignored a few of the bad reviews thinking some people are just picky and like to pick things apart. Upon first glance everything g seemed to look good. We soon realized the saucy meats were hard most likely from sitting to long and had more batter then meat. The stir fry noodles were bland but we found one noodle dish that was average. The battered prawns had a ton of batter but were good. I could list off every item but I’ll just say we sent back half a plate the 2 times we went up. The good, the sushi was really good which would bring me to a 2.5 if I could pick it and the pop was good. I personally wouldn’t go back ever again. I normally don’t write reviews but I went based off the reviews I read so there needed to be some truth in the reviews. If you like fast food Chinese food, this...
