DON'T COME!!!!! We were excited to find a Greek restaurant just a few blocks from our hotel. When we walked in the door, the server/owner greeted us with a plywood face. Like, "What the hell are you doing here?" The alarm went off when we saw East Indian operating a Greek restaurant. We noticed that they also have Indian food on their menu. We decided to stay and give them a chance because both Indian and Greek food are our favorites. I ordered the chicken with spaghetti, and my wife ordered the curry lamb. The owner/server took our orders without showing us a smile or thank us for the orders. Maybe because we didn't order any drinks. My wife's curry lamb arrived with rice and roti. The curry lamb tasted strange, and nothing like we ever had before, and there was no more than 2 oz of meat in the curry. (we had Indian food many times before) The Rice was cold and hard and dry with no faver. My chicken tasted stale, like they pre-cooked the chicken and have sat in the fridge for days. The spaghetti was soft and overcooked. The sauce on the spaghetti was okay, but there was nothing to write home about. The restaurant wasn't exactly clean either. Both of our meals should come to about $40. But we were charged $55? Come on, Rupert! Two bad meals in a roll? Doesn't anyone know how to cook...
Read moreI used to love coming here until tonight. They messed up my husbands order, he ordered a medium steak and lasagna. The steak was blue rare and the lasagna was bland. When he let them know in a polite way, the lady said “everyone likes our lasagna”. Honestly that shouldn’t matter, in good business practice, the customer is always right no matter what. When he said no I want something else, she said okay but you have to pay still, and that she was willing to take a few dollars off. They were so cheap. I’ve been to places where if they messed up they’ll get you a new one or not charge. Not them. My husband was not happy. He never complains and I have never heard him get upset before. When he told them how frustrated he was she continued to argue, saying that there’s no point making another meal cause he won’t be satisfied anyways. In the end she took 7$ off. It was so disappointing. Never coming...
Read moreWhile I usually enjoy coming here with my family, I had one experience a couple years ago that I will never forget. We were in Rupert for my son’s hockey tournament and we stopped by for dinner. The interior was a little old/dated, but that’s not the point. I ordered the ribs as I had them before and they were elite, and they were this time as well, except that night I woke up with the worst food poisoning I’ve ever experienced. I am sure it was from the ribs as well as I had a Caesar salad for lunch. The food poisoning single handed you ruined the whole trip for me, and I was only able to watch 1 of my sons games while having to make a trip to the bathroom every 10 minutes. While I would eat here again and just not order the ribs, that experience almost ruined the restaurant for me. I’m willing to give it another try next time I’m in...
