An old unused foundation that the town turned into a sunken garden. It is well tended with plenty of places to sit and find shade while you enjoy the beautiful plants. A tunnel on each side leads into the sunken area, and you can also take a trail and stairs to the top, which has access to the neighboring streets. A true gem that you can tell the community takes great pride in maintaining, worth a visit. Reminded me a great deal of the sunken garden area at Butchart Gardens in...

This is a very beautifully laid out garden full of beautiful flowers of many different colors. It is close to downtown Prince Rupert as well as the Cow Bay area near the harbor. There is an entrance through a tunnel which goes below the ground level, and another tunnel from where you can exit. Of course, you can avoid the tunnels by entering through the grounds of the Rupert Courthouse. It is good place to relax with a good book or to take a...

A beautiful park, even in the off season, but literally could not take a step without stepping on broken glass, needles, etc.

Access tunnels were completely covered in broken glass, refuse, human waste.

Too bad - with a little care and security, this would be a lovely place to spend a little time. Worth checking out for curiosities sake, but definitely skip it if you're with the kiddos, or any other paws you...

Our last stop was Prince Rupert,BC. We were amazing about this fishing port they get the freshest sea food and the people are very friendly. We walking and a local told us go the Sunken Garden Park it's short distance then we headed to the Sunken Gardens park. We went throught a tunnel then we saw the garden it was very nice knowing it was raining we look around very nice they told us the summer is the perfect time.
