Champagne Chocolatier — Restaurant in Quebec

Went there specifically for the chocolates, of which they have a large and interesting variety. I had visited other two chocolateries with remarkable products but this one just stood out. In terms of flavor, texture, variety, presentation and quallty, Champagne came out on top. Where the others were great, this one was excellent. I really enjoyed the Pharaon, the Bûchette Caramel and the Perle du Québec. The Litchi deserves a special recommendation: Try it, it's exquisite. A really great stop if you have a sweet tooth. Dozens of different types of gourmet, hand-crafted chocolates. There's also plenty of chocolates and other sweets to purchase if you want a piece of Quebec to take home. The chocolates are very rich and you can see the amount of time and effort that goes into making each one. I also got a dark chocolate hot chocolate beverage. It was also very rich, so be sure to pick and choose what you're going to have, or you'll just have to return again! The prices are fair and what you would expect from a gourmet...

Was good two years ago. But I just bought a box of 12 chocolates from them, and all of them tasted really bad. Terrible way to end my Quebec city trip.

They were so bad that I didn't want to eat the last two pieces and contemplated throwing them away. I still downed them anyway because I spent $$$ on them, and was going through the sunk cost fallacy.

I feel sick. They didn't taste like chocolate at all. Hard to pin down the exact flavor. Some unknown chemical X, maybe.
